AIR FORCE

The Proteus Corp., Albuquerque, NM, is being awarded a $24,900,000 (not-to-exceed) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for engineering, test, and quick response acquisition services through Sept. 7, 2005 in support of the Countermeasures Hands-On Program (CHOP). This effort includes acquisition, design, development, fabrication, test, evaluation, demonstration, and reporting for simulation, special project, and independent experiment hardware mission areas. The mission of the CHOP is to evaluate ballistic missile defense countermeasures concepts. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the not-to-exceed amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than that amount. Expected contract completion date is September 2005. Solicitation issue date was April 19, 2000. Negotiation completion date was Aug. 21, 2000. Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, NM, is the contracting activity (F29601-00-D-0222).

Boeing Military Aircraft and Missile Systems Group, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $15,529,864 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 322 pyrotechnic devices and 322 thermal batteries applicable to the AGM-86C/D conventional air-launched cruise missile. Expected contract completion date is Feb. 28, 2003. Solicitation issue date was March 14, 2000. Negotiation completion date was Aug. 29, 2000. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-99-C-0096-P00022).

Raytheon Aerospace Company, Madison, Miss., is being awarded a $6,572,858 option to a fixed-price-incentive-firm-target contract to provide for FY2001 trainer equipment maintenance at Sheppard AFB, Texas, and various other locations. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 2001. The 82nd Contracting Squadron, Sheppard AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41689-97-C0509).

NAVY

Science Applications International Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $24,348,991 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing for engineering services in support of command, control, communications and intelligence (C4I) system integration and operational support. Specific efforts include systems integration engineering to technically plan for, implement and gain acceptance of C4I components integrated into Navy, joint and national C4I systems. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the SPAWAR e-commerce web site with six offers received. This award is one of three contracts awarded under Solicitation No. N66001-00-R-5025. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-00-D-5096).

Computer Sciences Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $20,478,289 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing for engineering services in support of command, control, communications and intelligence (C4I) system integration and operational support. Specific efforts include systems integration engineering to technically plan for, implement and gain acceptance of C4I components integrated into Navy, joint and national C4I systems. Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $19,359,946 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-97-C-2103 to exercise an option for planning yard, design support and technical services for the Los Angeles (SSN 688) and Seawolf (SSN 21) class submarines. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Fuentez Systems Concepts, Inc., North Charleston, S.C., is being awarded a $16,746,058 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing for engineering services in support of command, control, communications and intelligence (C4I) system integration and operational support. Specific efforts include systems integration engineering to technically plan for, implement and gain acceptance of C4I components integrated into Navy, joint and national C4I systems. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. ARMY

The University of South Florida, Tampa, Fla., is being awarded $5,524,969 as part of an estimated $21,552,423 cost-completion contract to develop a Micro-Monitoring Instrument (MMI) capable of characterizing the chemical and physical constituents of its environment. The MMI is an integration or subsystem featuring sampling, chemical detection, biochemical detection and telemetry modules. Work will be performed in St. Petersburg, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 1, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 9, 2000. The U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (DASG60-00-C-0089).

Metric Construction Co. Inc., Thousand Oaks, Calif., was awarded a $14,795,538 firm-fixed-price contract on Aug. 29, 2000, for construction of a composite maintenance hangar. Work will be performed at the Air National Guard Base, Moffett Federal Airfield, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 16, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 15 bids solicited on May 22, 2000, and four bids were received. The National Guard Bureau, San Luis Obispo, Calif., is the contracting activity (DAHA04-00-C-0008).
