Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 17, 1995. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.
Camel Manufacturing, Pioneer, Tenn., is being awarded a delivery order amount of $7,851,845 as part of firm-fixed-price contract DAAK60-97-D-9311, for 745 Lightweight Maintenance Enclosures (LME). The LME will provide protection for personnel and track and wheeled vehicles from the debilitating effects of continuous exposure during maintenance/repair procedures, in all climatic conditions. Work will be performed in Pioneer, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2000. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on June 30, 1997, and three bids were received.
