NAVY

International Technology Corp., Concord, Calif., is being awarded a $17,234,617 modification to Task Order 0029 under a cost-plus-award-fee contract N62474-98-D-2076 for environmental remedial action at the former Hunter's Point Shipyard site. Work will be performed in San Francisco, Calif., and is expected to be completed by November 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 182 proposals solicited, four offers received and award made on June 2, 1998. The total contract amount is not to exceed $250,000,000, which includes the base period and six option periods. This task order was negotiated under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Marine Systems, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded an $8,957,698 modification to previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-fee contract N00030-00-C-0003 to exercise options 0021 and 0024 for production of Trident II (D5) launcher closures and gas generators. Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif., and is expected to be completed by January 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

The Boeing Company, Seal Beach, Calif.; and Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, Sunnyvale, Calif., are being awarded a $16,000,000 (each contractor) firm-fixed-price contract to provide for architecture studies in support of the Global Positioning System III program. These studies represent the first phase in the development of the global positioning system to support military and civilian users for fiscal years 2010 through 2030. These analyses will survey emerging technologies and refine system architectures to develop the technical and programmatic planning to enter one or more concept architectures into Program Definition and Risk Reduction. Expected contract completion date is Nov. 2, 2001. Solicitation issue date was Aug. 11, 2000. Negotiation completion date was Oct. 23, 2000.
