DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

AT&T Corporation (Government Markets), Washington, DC, is today being awarded Modification P00022 to the Defense Information Systems Network Transmission Services - Continental United States Contract DCA200-97-D-0048, in the amount of $51,006,634. This action exercises the option to extend the term of the contract from Jan. 28, 2001 through Jan. 27, 2002. This contract provides transmission services at speeds of 1.544MB (T-1) and above via a Synchronous Optical Network, to the Department of Defense and other Federal Government Departments and Agencies. The contract is Firm-Fixed-Price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity. After this modification, the total cumulative face value of the contract will be $153,845,306.56. Award was made to AT&T Corporation on Jan. 28, 1997 through full-and-open competition. One hundred sixty-nine (169) vendors were solicited; three (3) offers were received. The work is performed within the Continental United States. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott AFB, IL, is the contracting activity. NAVY

Hunt Building Corp., El Paso, Texas, is being awarded $11,525,410 to a firm-fixed price contract for the exercise of Option 1 for the design and construction of an additional 54 replacement family housing units at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay. The award of this option brings the total contract value to $40,944,118.00. Work will be performed in Oahu, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by May 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured, via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website, using the Two-Phase Design Build process. A total of 17 offers were solicited with five firms responding in Phase I. Of the five responses received from Phase I, only three (3) firms were invited to submit technical and price proposals in Phase II. The basic contract was awarded to Hunt Building Corporation on 28 September 2000. The Resident Officer in Charge of Construction, Kanehoe Bay, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific Division, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N62742-99-C-1323).
