NAVY

Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $21,982,671 modification to previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00030-00-C-0100 to provide funding for an option under the fiscal year 2001 Trident II (D5) Missile Production and Deployed System Support contract. The subject effort provides requalification efforts on materials and processes used in production of D5 Boost Propulsion motors. Work will be performed in Magna, Utah (86.0%) and Sunnyvale, Calif. (14.0%), and is expected to be completed by December 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

MKC-WPC, Inc.* (a joint venture), Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $10,166,699 firm-fixed-price contract for the seismic upgrade and renovation of an existing facility into a chemical/metallurgical analysis facility and the demolition of three building at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Work will be performed in Bremerton, Wash., and is expected to be completed by February 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was non-competitively awarded under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. The Engineering Field Activity, Northwest, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Poulsbo, Wash., is the contracting activity (N44255-99-C-9895).

The C-Cubed Corp., Springfield, Va., is being awarded a $9,022,047 cost-plus-fixed-fee, term, services contract for the procurement of engineering, technical services and supplies supporting the design, development, integration, test and evaluation, installation, certification, maintenance life cycle and logistics support of electronic and communication systems for the Special Communications Requirements Branch, St. Inigoes, Md. The estimated level of effort for the base contract is 192,000 man-hours. Work will be performed in Lexington Park, Md., (90%), St. Inigoes, Md., (9.5%), and Springfield, Va., (.5%); and is expected to be completed by January 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by electronic solicitation with one offer received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-01-C-0125).

ARMY

Sikorsky Aircraft Co., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded an $18,648,976 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAJ09-97-C-0005, for 13 CH-60S Sea Hawk aircraft for the U.S. Navy. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 4, 2000. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.
