BALLISTIC MISSILE DEFENSE ORGANIZATION

Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corporation of Boulder, Colorado is being awarded a $62,520,444 cost-plus-award-fee contract for systems engineering and integration and management support for the Russian American Observation Satellites (RAMOS) program in the areas of sensor technology, prototype elements, systems and subsystems, and experimentation efforts for sensor technology developments. Work will be performed at Boulder, Colo. and Moscow, Russia and is expected to be completed in June 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 15 offerors solicited and two proposals received. The Ballistic Missile Defense Organization, is the contracting activity (HQ0006-01-C-0004).

ARMY

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $24,300,000 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAJ09-97-C-0005. The contractor will provide, on behalf of the State Department, maintenance and equipment support for the UH-60 Black Hawk aircraft in support of the Colombian Army and Colombian National Police. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 8, 2001. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon/Lockheed Martin Javelin Joint Venture, Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded $4,739,293 as part of a $5,064,744 cost-plus-award-fee contract for fiscal year 2001 to 2003 engineering services for the Javelin missile system. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz. (56.1%) and Orlando, Fla. (43.9%), and is expected to be completed by Jan. 16, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 20, 2000. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-01-C-0027).

NAVY

Bristol Environmental and Engineering Services, Corp.*, Anchorage, Alaska, is being awarded $10,248,241 for Task Order 0006 under a firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract for environmental remedial action. Work will be performed at Amchitka Island, Alaska, and is expected to be completed by December 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $5,648,241 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was non-competitively awarded under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. The total basic contract amount is not to exceed $15,000,000, which includes the base period and one one-year option. This task order was negotiated under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. The Engineering Field Activity, Northwest, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Poulsbo, Wash., is the contracting activity (N44255-00-D-2475).

The Research Triangle Institute, Research Triangle Park, N.C., is being awarded a $6,040,000 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract N61339-95-C-0015 to exercise an option for the production of one M1A2 Tank System Enhancement Package and one Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Maintenance Training System, Trainer Unique Modification Kit. Work will be performed in Research Triangle Park, N.C., (60%) and Daytona, Fla., (40%); and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity.

The B. F. Goodrich Aerospace, Aircraft Integrated Systems, Vergennes, Vt., is being awarded a $5,790,140 firm-fixed-price commercial contract for 20 Low Rate Initial Production Integrated Mechanical Diagnostics system kits for installation into the Navy/Marine Corps H-53 helicopters. Work will be performed in Vergennes, Vt., and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-01-C-0078).
