AIR FORCE

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded an $800,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for up to seven C-40 aircraft and up to ten years of associated contractor logistics support. The contract has provisions that can allow for incorporation of the contractor logistics support effort for the C-32 aircraft into this contract. At this time, $59,453,000 of the contract funds have been obligated. Solicitation began December 2000; negotiations were completed January 2001. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-01/D-0013).

BAE Systems, Mojave, Calif., is being awarded an $8,947,826 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 12 QF-4 Full Scale Aerial Target (FSAT) aircraft in support of live fire testing for Air Force Weapons Systems. Approximately 8% of this effort supports foreign military sales to the United Kingdom. The work is expected to be completed May 2003. Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08626-98/C-0012).

ARMY

General Dynamics Land Systems Inc., Sterling Heights, Mich., is being awarded a $142,049,575 modification to firm-fixed-price, multi-year contract DAAE07-95-C-0292. This procurement is an equitable adjustment to change-order modification P00110 that incorporated the System Enhancement Package (SEP) into 240 M1A2 Abrams Upgrade Tanks. This modification adds first article tests for the SEP into 240 tanks, adds material and testing for Under Armor Auxiliary Power Units that are to be retrofitted onto M1A2 Abrams Upgrade Tanks with the SEP. Work will be performed in Lima, Ohio (80%); Scranton, Pa. (3%); Imperial Valley, Calif. (1%); Anniston, Ala. (4%); Tallahassee, Fla. (10%); Muskegon, Miss. (1%), and Sterling Heights, Mich. (1%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2001. Of the total contract funds, $97,315,476 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 18, 1995. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

General Electric Co., Aircraft Engine Business Group, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $39,468,160 delivery order amount as part of firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract DAAJ09-97-D-0196, to procure 48 Install Engines 701C (Complete) without warranty and without containers, and 12 Spare 701C Engines without warranty and with containers for Israel. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

NAVY

Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems, Archbald, Pa., is being awarded a $16,936,000 modification to exercise two options to previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract N00019-99-C-1648. This modification provides for the procurement of a total of 8,468 BDU-59A/B laser guided training rounds; a low cost round that simulates the guidance and flight characteristics of the PAVEWAY II Laser Guided Bomb. Work will be performed in Archbald, Pa., and is expected to be completed by May 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
