NAVY

BAE Systems, Information and Electronic Warfare Systems Integration Corp., Nashua, N.H., is being awarded a $59,003,220 firm-fixed-price contract for the fabrication, assembly, test and delivery of six low rate initial production AN/ALQ-214(V) Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasure Radio Frequency Countermeasure units and 30 ALE-55 Fiber Optic Towed Decoys. Work will be performed in Nashua, N.H., and is expected to be completed by November 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-00-C-0417).

Raytheon Systems Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $7,173,555 cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide materials and engineering services for repair, maintenance, and preparation of section, assemblies, sub-assemblies, components and associated test equipment to support the Standard missile program. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-01-C-5306).

BAE Systems Technologies, Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $5,435,226 cost-plus-fixed-fee-term contract for 117,000 man-hours of technical and engineering services in support of the air traffic control and landing systems. Work will be performed in St. Inigoes, Md. (88%), and San Diego, Calif. (12%), and is expected to be completed by March 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $1,920,591 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with ten proposals solicited and one offer received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-01-C-0192).

ARMY

  • McKnight Construction Co., Augusta, Ga., was awarded on March 21, 2001, a $43,874,861 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an enlisted barracks complex. The project consists of new construction of barracks for 408 personnel using the "R2" Standard
  • Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing Renovation Module. Construction will include a 300-man Soldier Community Building to support the barracks, two medium sized standard design battalion headquarters, eight standard design company headquarters, a dining facility, and will include site improvements, utility connections and parking. Work will be performed at Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Ga., and is expected to be completed by June 1, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 178 bids solicited on Dec. 13, 2000, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga., is the contracting activity (DACA21-01-C-0010).

Raytheon Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $1,796,357 increment of a $9,450,000 (base year total) cost-plus-fixed-fee/completion and level-of-effort contract, with a cumulative total of $36,870,000 if all options are exercised. The contract will continue the hardware development under another contract where a breadboard solid-state laser imager was partially developed and tested. Under this contract the breadboard laser will be improved, completed, and tested. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by March 21, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 21, 2000. The U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (DASG60-01-C-0035).

General Electric Aircraft Engine, Cincinnati, Ohio, is being awarded a $20,108,169 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAH23-00-C-0347. This award definitized the letter contract with the contractor to provide technical, engineering, and material support to Corpus Christi Army Depot in support of the overhaul and repair for the entire T700 family of engines for one year. Work will be performed in Corpus Christi, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 1, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Aug. 22, 2000. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Co., Biloxi, Miss., is being awarded an $8,127,120 firm-fixed-price contract to design/build a physical fitness center of approximately 5,854 sq. meters, associated site work, and utilities. The project will include architectural, civil, landscaping, structural, mechanical, fire protection, electrical, telecommunications, and environmental design and construction phases. Work will be performed at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 13, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 112 bids solicited on Jan. 8, 2001, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock, Ark., is the contracting activity (DACA03-01-C-0014).

CORRECTION

The correct completion date for contract DAAB07-01-C-L304, announced yesterday, is July 31, 2005.

AIR FORCE

PEI Electronics Inc., Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded $14,788,636 modification to a fixed-price-incentive-fee contract to provide for nine Reentry System Test Sets. The test sets are applicable to the replacement MK12/MK12A Reentry System Test Systems. Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill AFB, Utah, is the contracting activity (F41608-95/C-1158, P00027).
