ARMY

Battelle Memorial Institute, Columbus, Ohio and Advanced Engineering & Sciences, Division of ITT Industries Inc., Colorado Springs, Colo., are each being awarded two cost-plus-fixed-fee contracts for engineering support services for the Office of Special Technology. Battelle Memorial Institute, a not-for-profit institution, is being awarded contracts DAAD05-01-D-0016 and N39998-01-D-7058. Advanced Engineering & Sciences is being awarded contracts DAAD05-01-D-0017 and N39998-01-D-7059. Each contract provides an initial $125,000 to each contractor; the four contracts together have a cumulative potential total of $200,000,000. Work will be performed by Battelle in Columbus, Ohio, and by Advanced Engineering in Colorado Springs, Colo., and is expected to be completed by April 24, 2006. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on Oct. 4, 2000, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Aberdeen Proving Ground Support Activity, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity.

Honeywell Inc., Engines and Systems, Phoenix, Ariz., is being awarded $56,523,238 as part of a $167,989,868 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for 81 T55-GA-714A engines and associated spare parts for the CH-47D Chinook helicopter, with fiscal year 2001 option for 28, and fiscal year 2002 option for 132. Work will be performed in Phoenix, Ariz. (73%), and Greer, S.C. (27%), and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 4, 2000. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-01-C-0152)

Conti Environmental Inc.*, South Plainfield, N.J., is being awarded $250,000 as part of a $25,000,000 firm-fixed-price, cost reimbursement task order contract. The contractor will perform remediation of various hazardous waste sites within the North Atlantic Division. The contractor will furnish and transport all plant, labor and materials and equipment and perform all work necessary to complete multiple task orders simultaneously at confirmed or suspected hazardous and radioactive waste sites, and will prepare the statement of work for each task order. Work will be performed in the states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and West Virginia and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2005. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web, and seven bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Concord, Mass., is the contracting activity (DACW33-00-D-0003).

Battelle Ocean Sciences Inc., Duxbury, Mass., is being awarded $40,000 as part of a $10,000,000 firm-fixed-price/task order contract, for environmental planning and consulting services at various locations in the North Atlantic Division. The contractor will perform water quality tests, sediment chemistry, bioassay and bioaccumulation analyses, preparing environmental reports, assessments and statement of finds, as well as other environmental services, and will prepare the statement of work for each task order. Work will be performed in the states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and West Virginia and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2006. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on May 8, 2000, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Concord, Mass., is the contracting activity (DACW33-00-D-0004).

Stewart & Stevenson Tactical Vehicle Systems LP, Sealy, Texas, is being awarded a $4,377,038 firm-fixed-price contract for the integration of contractor proposed modifications to eight government-furnished medium tactical vehicles and related test support for Phase I of the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles Competitive Rebuy Program. Work will be performed in Sealy, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 25, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on Dec. 1, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-S059).

Oshkosh Truck Corp., Oshkosh, Wis., is being awarded a $5,600,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the integration of contractor proposed modifications to eight government-furnished medium tactical vehicles and related test support for Phase I of the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles Competitive Rebuy Program. Work will be performed in Sealy, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 25, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on Dec. 1, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-S060).

AIR FORCE

Honeywell International, Tempe, Ariz., is being awarded a $12,015,033 (estimated) modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide 3210 (best estimated quantity) kits to upgrade the secondary power system components on the F-15 aircraft. At this time, $4,071,244 of the funds have been obligated with further funds being obligated as individual delivery orders are issued during a five-year ordering period. The work will be performed by Honeywell in Tempe, Ariz. Ogden Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F1608-98-D-0003).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Maryland Clothing Manufacturing Inc.*, Baltimore, Md., is being awarded a $7,952,430 firm-fixed-price type contract for men and women's Air Force coats. Work is expected to be completed by June 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-01-D-0318).

Multi-Unit Chain Distributors*, Stockton, Calif., is being awarded a $6,400,000 firm-fixed-price type contract for full line food distribution for the Arizona zone. Work will be performed in Phoenix, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by June 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-01-D-3007).
