ARMY

Newfield Construction Inc., Hartford, Conn., is being awarded a $15,575,997 firm-fixed-price contract to alter/expand the existing Berry-Roseblatt training building. Work will be performed at the U.S. Army Recruiting Center, West Hartford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by May 9, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 82 bids solicited on Aug. 25, 2000, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity (DACA27-01-C-0009).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corp., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $12,857,675 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for fleet upgrade for 22 F-16 aircraft. This upgrade includes incorporation of interface software for the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile and the Advanced Identity Friend and Foe system. This effort supports foreign military sales to Bahrain. The work is expected to be completed by January 2003. Solicitation began January 2001; negotiations were completed April 2001. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-00-C-0062).

Aerojet General Corp., Rancho Cordova, Calif., is being awarded a $10,098,435 (estimated) cost-plus-fixed fee contract to provide for research and development of an advanced reusable rocket engine for space maneuver vehicles. At this time, $6,000,000 of the funds have been obligated. This solicitation was posted on the Electronic Post System; four firms submitted proposals. The work is expected to be completed by November 2002. Solicitation began in August 2000; negotiations were completed April 2001. Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., is the contracting activity (F29601-01-C-0151).

NAVY

TME Building Maintenance Inc.*, Montclair, N.J., and TUCS Cleaning Services Inc.*, Orange, N.J. (a teaming agreement), are being awarded a not-to-exceed $5,537,380 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity contract for janitorial services at the Naval Air Engineering Station, Lakehurst. Work will be performed in Lakehurst, N.J., and is expected to be completed by May 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website, with 15 offers received. The Engineering Field Activity Northeast, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Lester, Pa., is the contracting activity (N62472-01-D-0811).
