Truman Arnold Companies*, Temple, Texas, is being awarded a $25,754,806 fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract for gasoline/gasohol, diesel and burner oil to various Army agencies in locations throughout Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. There were 500 proposals solicited, and 33 responded. Period of performance completion is May 31, 2004. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Ft. Belvoir, Va., is the contracting agency (SP0600-01-D-4513).
Grove U.S. LLC, Shady Grove, Pa., is being awarded a $788,258 delivery order amount as part of an estimated $16,542,309 firm-fixed-price contract for various cylinder assemblies, hydraulic cylinders, gear subassemblies and other parts in support of tactical vehicles. Work will be performed in Shady Grove, Pa., and is expected to be completed by May 24, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Feb. 12, 2001, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-D-S041).
DEFENSE ADVANCED RESEARCH PROJECTS AGENCY
Johns Hopkins University (non-profit), Applied Physics Laboratory, Laurel, Md., is being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity task order contract with an estimated cumulative total of $100,000,000 for advanced research, development and engineering support for the Department of Defense. An appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each task order. Work will be performed in Laurel, Md., and is expected to be completed by May 9, 2006. This is a sole source contract initiated on March 9, 2001. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (MDA972-01-D-0005).
W. G. Yates Inc., Memphis, Tenn., is being awarded a $6,965,000 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of a 96-person dormitory at Barksdale Air Force Base. Work also includes demolition of one facility. Work will be performed at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., and is expected to be completed by September 2003. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 46 proposals solicited and 10 offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, North Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (N62467-00-C-0426).
Nuna Construction Inc.*, Anchorage, Alaska, is being awarded a $6,476,476 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a Marine Corps Reserve Training Facility at Elmendorf Air Force Base. Work will be performed in Anchorage, Alaska, and is expected to be completed by September 2002. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was negotiated as a sole source contract. The Engineering Field Activity, Northwest, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Poulsbo, Wash., is the contracting activity (N44255-01-C-1010).
The Air Force is modifying a contract with the Boeing Co., Information and Communications Systems, Anaheim, Calif. This action adjusts the scope of the ongoing effort to design and develop modifications to incorporate new military and civilian signals into the Global Positioning System IIF satellite. This modification incorporates increase of signal power, a change in the generation of civilian signal and testing and other effort required for the attainment of the Final Design Verification milestone. The locations of performance are Boeing, Anaheim, Calif. (70%), and other locations.
