AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Technology Service Group, Cherry Hill, N.J., is being awarded a $210,942,078 firm-fixed-price award fee contract to provide for fiscal year 2002 (transition August - September 2001) operational and maintenance of the Air Combat Command's Tethered Aerostat Radar System. This work is expected to be completed September 2002. Solicitation began January 2001; negotiations will be completed on a date to be added upon issuance of final proposal revision letter. This effort will be performed by the Lockheed Martin Management Office, Chesapeake, Va., and various locations. The Air Combat Command Contracting Squadron, Langley Air Force Base, Va., is the contracting activity (F44650-01-C0005).

BEM Systems Inc., Chatham, N.J.; Laguna Construction Company Inc., Laguna, N.M.; Environmental Quality Management Inc., Cincinnati, Ohio; CAPE Environmental Management Inc., Atlanta, Ga.; and Geo-Marine Inc., Plano, Texas, are being awarded a $45,000,000 (program maximum) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with provision to issue firm-fixed-price and time and materials task orders contract to provide for minor construction, repair, remediation, demolition and management operations and services in support of Air Force environmental remediation activities. Portions of this effort will be funded by the Defense Environmental Restoration Account. At this time, $50,000 has been obligated to each contractor. Solicitation began February 2001; negotiations were completed May 2001. There were 154 firms solicited and 19 proposals received. This effort will be performed by the contractors at the aforementioned locations and at various government installations. The 311th Human Systems Wing, Brooks Air Force Base, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41624-01-D-8558 - BEM Systems; F41624-01-D-8555 - Laguna Construction; F41624-01-D-8557 - Environmental Quality Management; F41624-01-D-8559 - CAPE Environmental Management; F41624-01-D-8559 - Geo-Marine).

DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

AT&T Corp. (Government Markets), Washington, D.C., is being awarded a modification to the existing Defense Research Engineering Network (DREN) contract which will extend the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for a period of three years. AT&T Government Markets, Washington, D.C., a large business, is the contractor on the DREN contract. No funds will be obligated at the time of award; however, funds will be obligated when the existing delivery orders are modified. The estimated life cycle cost of the three-year extension is $66.4 million. The DREN contract provides commercial state-of-the-art wide area networking services that support Department of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program users in various technical communities. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAHC94-96-D-0009).

NAVY

Raytheon Systems Co., Sudbury, Mass., is being awarded a $6,542,871 indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide Relocatable Over-The-Horizon Radar (ROTHR) Program technical support services. ROTHR work will include engineering and technical support, management support, integrated logistics and maintenance support, depot, overhaul, training and engineering support services as required by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston Code 521 in support of the Naval Space Command, Dahlgren, Va. This contract contains options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $34,640,099. Work will be performed in Sudbury, Mass. (70%); Norfolk, Va. (10%); Premont and Freer, Texas (10%); and Fort Island and Vieques Island, Puerto Rico (10%), and is expected to be completed by June 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured.
