NAVY

Litton Systems Inc., Guidance and Control Systems Division, Woodland Hills, Calif., is being awarded an estimated $19,724,023 indefinite-quantity contract for repair of such items as gimbal assemblies supporting the AN/ASN-92(V) Carrier Inertial Navigation System (CAINS) on F-14 A/B, E-2 and S-3 aircraft. This contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract is $36,000,000. Work will be performed in Salt Lake City, Utah (40%); Norfolk, Va. (35%); and San Diego, Calif. (25%), and is expected to be completed by December 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-01-D-014G).

National Technologies Associates Inc., Alexandria Va., is being awarded a $10,405,928 cost-plus-fixed-fee, level of effort, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for technical training services. The contract will provide services to support the design, development, acquisition, evaluation, validation, verification, certification and life cycle support of training instructional systems/devices that train military personnel and their supporting establishment in the proficient maintenance and deployment of air, surface and sub-surface launched weapons. Work will be performed in Indian Head, Md., and is expected to be completed by March 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured and synopsized in the Commerce Business Daily and posted on the Internet with 77 proposals solicitated and three offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Indian Head Division, Indian Head, Md., is the contracting activity (N00174-01-D-0006).

General Atomics Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $9,061,690 cost-plus-fixed-fee agreement modification for the fabrication of prototype power control modules for the Integrated Fight Through Power System. The Integrated Fight Through Power System provides a flexible switching and distribution system through which all electrical power generated by the ship's prime mover is made available for shipboard electric drive propulsion, ship's service and combat system needs. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. (51%), and Cambridge, Mass. (49%), and is expected to be completed by October 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-01-9-4021).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $6,661,000 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-fee contract (N00019-97-C-0136) for incorporation of five engineering change proposals into 20 F/A-18E/F LRIP II aircraft. A number of these five engineering change proposals will also be incorporated into the 30 F/A-18E/F LRIP III aircraft. Work will be performed in Lemoore, Calif. (80%); St. Louis, Mo. (15%); and Cecil Field, Fla. (5%), and is expected to be completed in June 2003. Contract funds in the amount of $6,661,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Litton Systems Inc., Dallas, Texas, is being awarded $292,001 as part of an estimated $5,000,000 contract for Sniper Night Sight AN/PVS-10 depot support. This basic contract is for two years with three one-year options for depot level repair, updates and modifications. Work will be performed in Garland, Texas, and completion is expected by Aug. 30, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 5, 2001. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-01-D-J005).
