AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $1,000,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for aircraft modifications, integration support, and other services outside the scope of the avionics modernization program. Funds on this contract will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued during the course of the contract's ordering period. First delivery order will be for performance of a study on the air data system on the C-130 aircraft. An expected follow-on contract for kit production installation is anticipated to follow this effort. At this time $519,939 of the funds have been obligated. This work is to be completed September 2013. Solicitation began April 2000; negotiations were completed February 2001. McDonnell Douglas will perform this effort in Long Beach Calif., and at other locations. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F09603-01-D-0045, 0001).

McDonnell Douglas Corp, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $484,670,059 cost-plus- award-fee contract to provide for engineering and manufacturing development of avionics modernization program kits for the C-130 aircraft. At this time $49,800,000 of the funds have been awarded. This work is to be completed September 2007. Solicitation began April 2000; negotiations were completed February 2001. McDonnell Douglas will perform this effort in Long Beach Calif., and at other locations. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-01-C-0047).

NAVY

BAE Systems Applied Technologies, Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $13,466,898 modification to previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee term contract (N00421-99-C-1550) to exercise an option for technical and engineering services in support of communication-electronic platforms. The estimated level of effort for this option is 259,000 man-hours. Work will be performed in Lexington Park, Md. (82%), and St. Inigoes, Md., (18%), and is expected to be completed in July 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity.

Ingalls Shipbuilding, Inc., Pascagoula, Miss., is being awarded a $12,251,186 cost-plus-award-fee contract option for follow yard class services on DDG 51 class Aegis destroyers. Work includes liaison for follow ship design and construction; engineering, design, planning and technical support; configuration management services; computer aided logistics support (CALS) related engineering; DDG 51 class flight upgrades; crew indoctrination and orientation program; and ships test support. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Miss., and is expected to be completed by July 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively awarded. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-00-C-2302).

Pave-Tech, Inc.*, Carlsbad, Calif., is being awarded a maximum amount of $9,473,150 with a guaranteed minimum of $5,000 (base period), fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for removing, patching and repairing existing deteriorated asphalt and concrete paving, installation of new asphalt and concrete paving, and related incidental paving improvement work at Navy and Marine Corps activities in San Diego, Calif. This contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of this contract to a not-to-exceed value of $47,365,740. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by July 2002. The total potential contract time is not to exceed sixty months (including the four option periods). Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website with seven offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-00-D-0222).
