General Atomics, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $22,900,000 (Maximum) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for research and development of magneto-hydrodynamic (MHD), magnetogasdynamic (MGD) and other plasma interaction technologies for integrated power generators and hypersonic engine compressors. At this time $592,083 of the funds have been obligated with further funds being obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. Work on this contract is expected to be complete July 2006. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $6,099,495 standard cooperative agreement contract to provide for the Automatic Air Collision Avoidance System (Auto ACAS) Phase II Program. This program will provide technology development and flight test/demonstration of an automatic air collision avoidance system for fighter aircraft and unmanned air vehicles (UAVs). At this time $200,000 of the funds have been obligated and the work is to be complete January 2004. Negotiations on this sole source contract were completed July 2001. Canyon Electric Co. Inc.*, N. Las Vegas, Nev., is being awarded a $19,333,200 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of family housing replacement, housing areas 9 and 10. The project consists of neighborhood revitalization by replacement of 160 junior enlisted and junior non-commissioned officer dwelling units. Existing dwelling units will be demolished and new units built on the existing site. The buildings will consist of variously configured one and two-story multi-family units with garages and patios. Work will be performed at Fort Bragg, N.C., and completion is expected by Sept. 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
