Adesta Communications Inc., Huntsville, Ala. (DACA87-01-D-0009); Johnson Controls, Government Systems LLC, Milwaukee, Wis. (DACA87-01-D-0010); Lockheed Martin Mission Systems, Gaithersburg, Md. (DACA87-01-D-0011); Williams Electric Co. Inc., Fort Walton Beach, Fla. (DACA87-01-D-0012); and Vindicator Technologies, Austin, Texas (DACA87-01-D-0013), are together being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price contract with a potential value of $100,000,000 for the procurement and installation of electronic security systems. Work will be performed worldwide in various facilities and is expected to be completed by Aug. 7, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. There were 80 bids solicited on March 30, 2001, and nine bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity.
ITT Industries Inc., Colorado Springs, Colo., is being awarded a $77,382,728 requirements contract to provide for organization level maintenance of the Command and Control Switching System at various locations worldwide. The contractor is to provide personnel on-site at each location covered by the contractor to maintain the switch. Work includes on-site operations and maintenance, including troubleshooting, fault isolations, moderate installation and removal and replacement of lowest replaceable units to restore switch operations. This effort supports foreign military sales to National Defense Headquarters, Canada. At this time, no funds have been obligated. Work on this contract is expected to be complete December 2011. There were two firms solicited, and two proposals were received. Solicitation began in April 2001; negotiations were completed in August 2001. This effort will be performed at various locations. The Ogden Air Research Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42600-01-D-0035).
