AIR FORCE

Support Systems Associates Inc. (SSAI), Melborne, Fla., was awarded on Sept. 11, 2001, an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for the Flexible Acquisition and Sustainment Tool (FAST) Program. SSAI is the second of six companies to receive FAST contracts. FAST provides for the sustainment of Air Force-managed weapon systems, support systems, subsystems and components. This will include services, modifications and limited, contingency and critical spares and repair services. The Air Force can award delivery orders under the FAST program totaling up to $7,400,000,000. At this time, no funds have been obligated. Solicitation was posted to the Warner Robins ALC Business Opportunities Page in October 2001, and 10 proposals were received. Negotiations were completed June 2001. The Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09603-01-D-0211).

Parker Hannifin Customer Support Inc., Irvine, Calif., was awarded on Sept. 11, 2001, an $810,680,500 (estimated) requirements contract. This contract will provide for repair and spare parts for air turbine starters, cockpit displays, engine fuel components, engine driven hydraulic pumps, flight control systems, fuel components and utility hydraulic components in support of various aircraft. At this time, no funds have been obligated. This work will be performed by Parker Hannifin Corp., Air and Fuel Division, Irvine, Calif. (25%); Parker Hannifin Corp, Abex NWL Division, Kalamazoo, Mich. (25%); and Parker Hannifin Corp, Control Systems Military Division, Irvine, Calif. (30%). The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-01-D-0228).

Chugack Eareckson Support Services (CESS), Anchorage, Alaska, is being awarded a $10,633,384 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for fiscal year 2002 operations, maintenance and support of Eareckson Air Station, Alaska. At this time, no funds have been obligated. This work is to be completed September 2002. CESS will perform this effort at Eareckson Air Station, Alaska. The 3rd Contracting Squadron, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, is the contracting activity (F65501-00-C-0005, P00069).

TrendTec, Las Vegas, Nev, was awarded on Sept. 11, 2001, an $8,532,380 contract modification. This modification provides for fiscal year 2002 base civil engineering services at Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., including the Lawndales Facility at Hawthorne, Calif.; and Fort MacArthur, including Pacific Crest, Pacific Heights and White Point Military Family Housing, San Pedro, Calif. This is the third of four 12-month options to be awarded following the base year contract. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work is to be completed September 2002. TrendTec will perform this effort at Los Angeles Air Force Base. The Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04693-99-C-0001, P00040).
