ARMY

AM General Corp., South Bend, Ind., is being awarded a $72,512,188 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAE07-01-C-S001 for 1,176 high mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicles. Work will be performed in Mishawaka, Ind., and completion is expected by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was awarded based on acquisition streamlining principals, Alpha contracting utilized. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman, Belcamp, Md., was awarded on Nov. 20, 2001, an $8,933,993 modification to cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price contract DAAB07-01-C-L304 for material and services to procure and integrate a replacement Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Multifunction (ARL-M) System. Aircraft modifications will be performed on a firm-fixed-price basis; all other efforts will be performed on a cost-plus-fixed-fee basis and will be funded with emergency supplemental funds. This action is required to replace the Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Imagery System aircraft lost in a crash in July 1999 with an ARL-M System aircraft. Work will be performed in Belcamp, Md. (15%), and Hagerstown, Md. (85%), and completion is expected by July 23, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on March 16, 2001. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Sopakco Packaging, Mullins, S.C., is being awarded a maximum of $65,703,258 fixed-price with indefinite-quantity type contract for a minimum of 945,000 boxes and a maximum of 1,417,500 boxes of Meals Ready to Eat and an estimated 10,000 boxes of Humanitarian Daily Rations for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. This base year contract has a two-year option maximum. Performance completion date is expected to be Dec. 31, 2002. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were three proposals solicited, and three responded. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-00-D-Z104).

AmeriQual Group LLC*, Evansville, Ind., is being awarded a maximum of $48,277,600 fixed-price with indefinite-quantity type contract for a minimum of 630,000 boxes and a maximum of 945,000 boxes of Meals Ready to Eat and an estimated 10,000 boxes of Humanitarian Daily Rations for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. This base year contract has a two-year option maximum. Performance completion date is expected to be Dec. 31, 2002. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Wornick Co.*, McAllen, Texas, is being awarded a $45,335,788 fixed-price with indefinite-quantity type contract for a minimum of 525,000 boxes and a maximum of 787,500 boxes of Meals Ready to Eat and an estimated 10,000 boxes of Humanitarian Daily Rations for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. This base year contract has a two-year option maximum. Performance completion date is expected to be Dec. 31, 2002. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. NAVY

Science and Applied Technology Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $25,000,000 ceiling-priced-letter contract to conduct engineering and management studies for aircraft integration support, weapons use and capabilities enhancement for the quick bolt advanced concept technology demonstration. Work will be performed in Woodland Hills, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-02-C-3010).

Chesapeake Sciences Corp., Millersville, Md., is being awarded an $8,395,463 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to exercise an option under contract N00024-00-C-6230 for 59,397 man-hours of engineering development and technical services in support of the affordable towed array construction, Small Business Innovative Research Phase III Program. Work will be performed in Chesapeake, Va. (50%), and Greensboro, N.C. (50%), and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.

AC Inc., Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded a $7,407,805 firm-fixed-price contract for 32 all up round volumetric shapes (AURVS), Mk 34 shipping skids and two spare AURVS domes. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., and is expected to be completed by February 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured via the Internet, and one offer was received. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, R.I., is the contracting activity (N66604-02-C-0889).

Colville Tribal Services Corp.*, Coulee Dam, Wash., is being awarded a $6,620,827 firm-fixed-price contract for repair and upgrade of the electrical distribution system at Naval Radio Station, Jim Creek. Work will be performed in Arlington, Wash., and is expected to be completed by February 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Engineering Field Activity Northwest, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Poulsbo, Wash., is the contracting activity (N44255-00-C-2574).

Systems & Electronics Inc., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $6,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity delivery order contract for the manufacture of stroke and raster display monitors for Consolidated Automated Support System stations for the U.S. Navy. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expected to be completed by November 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via an electronic request for proposals, and one offer was received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-02-D-3118).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $5,200,000 ceiling-priced modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00019-00-C-0307) for the modification and upgrade of existing engineering and manufacturing development units for advanced mission computers and displays that will be integrated into the F/A-18 E/F, Lot 25 aircraft. Work will be performed in Minneapolis, Minn. (75%); Melbourne, Fla. (15%); and St. Louis, Mo. (10%), and is expected to be completed by January 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
