NAVY

Raytheon Systems Co., Defense Systems Segment, Naval & Maritime Systems, Sudbury, Mass., is being awarded a $95,473,359 firm-fixed-price contract for fiscal year 2002 requirements of three shipsets of Aegis weapon system OT-188/SPY-1D(V) transmitter groups, fire control system MK99 MOD 3 ancillary equipment, data, spares, provisioned item order, provisioning technical documentation and technical manuals for U.S. Navy requirements. These three shipsets will be installed aboard the DDG 102, DDG 103 and DDG 104 Arleigh Burke DDG 51 class destroyers. Work will be performed in Sudbury, Mass. (20%), and Andover, Mass. (80%), and is expected to be completed by December 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-02-C-5100).

United Technologies, Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $5,609,670 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-01-C-0024) to provide additional funding for the special progressive aircraft rework of a VH-3D aircraft, including component overhaul and repairables. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by October 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $5,609,670 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

ITT Gilfillan Defense and Electronics, Van Nuys, Calif., is being awarded a $13,335,884 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for five precision approach radars (PAR) applicable to the Mobile Approach Control System. The PAR consists of precision approach radar and all associated controls, testing, monitoring, calibration equipment, one operator to provide accurate azimuth, elevation and range on air breathing targets, and rotary and fixed wing targets. At this time, $9,500,000 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete December 2004. There were three firms solicited in October 2001, and one proposal was received. Negotiations were completed December 2001. The Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-02-C-0018).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Tennier Industries, Pomona, N.Y., was awarded on Jan. 31, 2001, a $10,674,933 fixed-price with indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery contract with two option terms for production of Extended Cold Weather Clothing System woodland parkas. Work will be performed at plants in Huntsville, Tenn., and Oneida, Tenn. Performance completion date is expected to be July 30, 2004. There were five responses to the solicitation for proposals. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-02-D-4014).

Tennessee Apparel, Tullahoma, Tenn., was awarded on Jan. 31, 2001, a $7,560,694 fixed-price with indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery contract with two option terms for production of Extended Cold Weather Clothing System woodland parkas. Work will be performed in Tullahoma, Tenn. Performance completion date is expected to be July 30, 2004. There were five responses to solicitation for proposals.
