DynCorp, Int., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $119,751,602 contract to provide for all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and items and services as necessary to perform forward operating locations, base operating support services in support of the U.S. Southern Command's aerial counterdrug surveillance mission in Aruba, Curacao, and Ecuador. At this time, $25,709,541 of the funds has been obligated. The period of this contract is January 15, 2002 through December 31, 2002. Solicitation was posted via the electronic posting system in May 2001, and there were three proposals received. Negotiations were completed December 2001. The contractor will perform this effort at various locations worldwide. The Air Combat Command Contracting Squadron, Langley Air Force Base, Va., is the contracting activity (F44650-02-C-0002).


General Dynamics Land System, Inc., is being awarded a $13,286,502 modification to firm-fixed-price contract (DAAE07-01-G-N001) to upgrade 11 M1A2 Abrams tanks. Work will be performed in Lima, Ohio (80%), Imperial Valley, Calif. (1%), Tallahassee, Fla. (10%), Sterling Heights, Mich. (1%), Scranton, Penn. (3%), Anniston, Ala. (4%), and Muskegon, Mich. (1%), expected to be completed by March 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on March 22, 2001. The Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., was awarded $ 7,445,851 on Jan. 11, 2002, as part of an estimated $48,063,650 cost-plus-award-fee contract for logistical support and services for the U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii. Work will be performed in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii (97%) and Fort Schafter, Hawaii (3%), and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2007. Contract funds will expire at the end of the fiscal year. There were 30 bids solicited on Dec. 28, 1999, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii, Fort Shafter, is the contracting activity, (# DAPC50-02-C-0008).
