NAVY

Digital System Resources, Inc., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $53,072,933 cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-award-fee contract modification to exercise an option under contract (N00024-01-C-6239) for level-of-effort engineering and technical services, for the design and development of upgrades and systems support of the Multi-Purpose Processor (MPP). The MPP provides hardware and software processing for the towed array on submarine and surface ship platforms. Work will be performed in Fairfax, Va., and is expected to be completed by March 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, DC, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company (LMSS), Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded an $11,847,982 modification to previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00030-01-C0100) to exercise an option to provide funding for the FY02 TRIDENT II (D5) Missile Production and Deployed System Support (P&DSS) contract. The subject effort provides activation of Phase A of the Requalification efforts on materials and processes used in the production of D5 Post Boost Control System (PBCS) Gas Generators and Thrust Vector Control (TVC) Gas Generators. Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif. (36.0%), Elkton, Md. (16.0%), Orange County, Va. (46%) and Albany, Ore. (2.0%) and will be completed by January 2005. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Sevenson Environmental, Inc., Niagra Falls, N.Y., is being awarded a $6,086,740 firm-fixed-price contract for property remediation and restoration at the U.S. Radium Superfund Site. Work will be performed in West Orange, N.J., and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole contract initiated on July 20, 2001. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Kansas City, Mo., is the contracting activity (DAC41-98-D-9016).

Raytheon Company, McKinney, Texas, is being awarded a $26,820,664 modification to firm-fixed-price contract (DAAH01-99-C-0126), for an option exercise for 75 improved tube- launched optically tracked wire-guided target acquisition system and fire control subsystem sets for sales to the Canadian Government. Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas (77.6 percent), Syosset, N.Y. (5.9%), Ontario, Canada (5.6%), Garland, Texas (3.3%) and Melborne, Fla. (7.6%), and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole-source contract. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Guyco, Inc., Lampasas, Texas is being awarded a $14,144,083 firm-fixed-price contract for the construction of two standard-design brigade headquarters buildings, two large size standard-design battalion command and control buildings with classrooms and six standard-design company operations and supply facilities. Supporting facilities include utilities, electric service, exterior lighting, paving, fire protection and alarm systems, storm drainage, information systems, and site improvements. Work will be performed in Fort Hood, Texas, and is expected to be completed by July 1, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. There were 177 bids solicited on Oct. 12, 2002, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Fort Worth, is the contracting activity, (DACA63-02-C-0003).

MW Builders of Texas, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $37,042,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a 480-person barracks facility, dining facility, five company operations facilities, central energy plant, utilities, fire protection, parking lot paving, walks, curb and gutter, storm drainage, information systems, site improvements and landscaping. Work will be performed in Fort Hood, Texas, and is expected to be completed by April 1, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. There were 268 bids solicited on Nov. 16, 2002, and 10 bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Fort Worth, Texas, is the contracting activity, (DACA63-02-C-0004).

General Electric Company, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $20,704,260 modification to firm-fixed-price contract (DAAJ-97-D-0196), for 10, 401C installed engines. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and will be completed by Oct. 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 20, 1997. The U.S. Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Rockford Corporation, Anchorage, Alaska, is being awarded a $6,573,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a new 100,000 barrel Jp-8 fuel storage tank, a new pump house with all associated piping to transfer JP-8 jet fuel, an emergency generator, a new well house and fire pump at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. Work is expected to be completed by Sep. 5, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. There were 160 bids solicited on Aug. 31, 2001, and seven bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Anchorage, Alaska, is the contracting activity, (DACA85-02-C-0003).

AIR FORCE

Veridian Engineering, Inc., Burke, Va., is being awarded a $27, 150,000 (estimated) cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for exploratory and development research for the biological effects of directed energy applications. At this time, $1,000,000 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be completed March 2007. Solicitation began October 2001; negotiations were complete December 2001. The contractor will perform this effort at Brooks Air Force Base, Texas. The 311th Human Systems Wing, Brooks Air Force Base, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41624-01-C-7002).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Marietta, Ga., is being awarded a $10,000,000 cost-plus-award-fee and firm-fixed price with economic price adjustment contract modification to provide for fiscal year 2002 engineering manufacturing development effort for the C-5 Avionics Modernization program. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be completed February 2002. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-98-C-0006, P00053).

Honeywell International, Inc., Tempe, Ariz., is being awarded a $6,307,155 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for overhaul of 225 C-130 air pressure regulators, overhaul and modify C-130 air pressure regulators, overhaul 115 F-15 air pressure regulators, overhaul 50 EC-135 valve assemblies, overhaul and modify 100 C-130 regulating valves, overhaul 50 C-130 regulating valves, and overhauls 125 C-135 safety relief valves. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be completed November 2003. There were four firms solicited in July 2001, and three proposals were received. Negotiations were completed August 2001. The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-02-C-0038).
