NAVY

Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $29,373,902 ceiling-priced delivery order against a previously awarded cost-plus-award-fee basic ordering agreement (N00019-00-G-0288) for engineering, design and maintenance services, analysis, qualification, test and aircraft support for the installation and testing of avionics systems for the MH-60R aircraft. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by March 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Norfolk Shipbuilding & Drydock Corp., Norfolk, Va., is being awarded an $8,409,850 fixed-price contract for the Phased Maintenance Availability of USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44). Work includes miscellaneous structural, electrical, and mechanical repairs including ship alterations, and alterations equivalent to repairs. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by June 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $8,409,850 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Internet, with seven proposals solicited and four offers received. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, USN, Portsmouth, Va., is the contracting activity (N62678-02-C-2030).

Electric Boat Corp. (a General Dynamics Co.), Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $7,696,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-96-C-2100) to exercise an option for On Board Repair Parts (OBRPs). Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (55%) and Newport News, Va. (45%), and is to be completed by June 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

CORRECTION

The contract awarded to Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co., Sunnyvale, Calif., (N00030-01-C-0100) on Feb. 8, 2002, listed the dollar value as $12,412,146. The correct amount is $12,600,000.

ARMY

Western Contracting Corp. of Sioux City, Iowa, is being awarded a $5,481,865.00 firm fixed-price contract to construct an environmental habitat creation project. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The project will consist of a pump station and an intake structure, two large culverts, two supply channels for a total of two miles and 12 control structures. A total of 64 bids were solicited on Oct. 24, 2001, and four bids were received. The estimated completion date is Oct. 31, 2004. Work will be performed in Decatur, Neb., (50%), and Onawa, Iowa (50%). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, Omaha, Neb. is the contracting activity (DACW45-02-C-0004).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

General Electric Medical Systems, Waukesha, Wis., is being awarded $50,000,000 annual maximum, fixed-price with economic price adjustment with indefinite quantity/delivery type contract for imaging systems, sub-systems or components, for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, and federal civilian agencies. Work will also be performed in Cudahy, Wis. This contract is a base year with four one-year options. Performance completion date is expected to be Feb.11, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at end of the current fiscal year. There were 119 proposals solicited and 36 responded. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia is the contracting activity (SP0200-02-D-8325).
