ARMY

Technical Products Group, Inc., Deland, Fla., is being awarded a $14,150,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 237 Biological Agent Warning Sensor (BAWS) and contractor logistical support for Joint Biological Program Detection System (JBPDS). Work will be performed in Deland and is to be completed by Aug. 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisitions Center, Edgewood Branch, Fla., is the contracting activity.

Bear Brothers, Montgomery, Ala., is being awarded a $11,672,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the construction of two facilities: a five-story concrete frame, 152-dorm and separate two-story steel-frame billeting office. Work will be performed in Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., and is expected to be completed by June 25, 2003. There were 277 bids solicited on October 30, 2001, and eight bids received. The Edward Slana Co. is the contracting activity (DACA01-02-C-004).

Textron Marine & Land Systems, New Orleans, La, is being awarded a $11,429,080 modification to a firm-fixed-price (production) and cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for 20 armored security vehicles (ASV). Work will be performed in New Orleans and is expected to be completed by June 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract. Tank Automotive Armaments Command,Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

Lane Construction Corp., Meriden, Conn., is being awarded a $9,140,000 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for the design and construction of a rectangular aircraft-parking apron for C-5 and C-17 aircraft located at Ft. Campbell, Ky. Work will be performed in Fort Campbell and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 89 bids solicited on Nov. 2, 2001, and nine bids were received. The Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, Ky., is the contracting activity (DACA27-02-C-0003).

Urrutia, Inc., Abbeville, Ala., is being awarded a $7,848,408 firm-fixed-price contract for the addition of a two-story steel frame 56,000 square feet unit to the existing squadron officers college facility on the academic circle at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. The majority of the space to be added are classrooms, administrative areas, and a 250-seat auditorium. Work will be performed in Maxwell, Air Force Base and is expected to be completed by October 1, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 146 bids solicited on October 30, 2001 and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District (CESAM), Mobile, Ala., is the contracting activity (DACA01-02-C-0002).

United Defense LP, Santa Clara, Calif., is being awarded a $9,371,089 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide systems technical support and logistics services in support of in-production and out-of-production Bradley Fighting Vehicle Systems (BFVS), Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS), Foreign Military Sales, and BFVS and MLRS Derivative Vehicles. Work will be performed in Santa Clara and is to be completed by Nov. 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 28, 2000. The Tank Automotive Armaments Command,Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-C-MO11).

United Defense LP, Santa Clara, Calif., is being awarded a $5,458,463 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for providing Systems Technical Support and Logistics Services in support of in-production and out-of-production Bradley Fighting Vehicle System (BFVS), Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS), Foreign Military Sales, and BFVS and MLRS Derivative Vehicles. Work will be performed in Santa Clara and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 28, 2000. The The Tank Automotive Armaments Command,Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-M011).

AIR FORCE

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., Savannah, Ga., is being awarded a $10,310,423 firm-fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract modification to exercise Option-V fiscal year 2002, contractor logistics support for the C-37A aircraft. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F34601-97-C-0231, P00056).

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., Savannah, Ga., is being awarded a $7,700,000 (not-to-exceed) firm-fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract modification to provide for undefinitized contractual action for upgrading the communications system for the C-37A aircraft. At this time, $5,775,000 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be completed by September 2006. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F34601-97-C-0231, P00060).

Alliant Precision Fuze Co., Jamesville, Wis., is being awarded a $7,330,182 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 72,000 units of a DSU 33-B and B-proximity sensor. The sensor is a nose-mounted radio frequency proximity sensor use on M-117 and MK-80 series general-purpose bombs and the Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM). It is also qualified for use on the following aircraft and each variant in their series; Marine AF-8; Navy and Marine A/A-18; and Air Force A-10, F-15, F-16, F-22, B-52, B-1 and B-2, including FMS versions. The work is expected to be completed in February 2003. There were nine firms solicited and three proposals received. Solicitation began September 2001 and negotiations were completed in February 2002. Air Armament Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08635-02-C-0049).

Jacobs Engineering Group, Pasadena, Calif., is being awarded a $5,877,945 delivery order against an indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity contract. This action will provide for systems performance evaluation, impact monitoring, and long-term monitoring for various sites at Massachusetts Military Reservation, Cape Cod, Mass. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be completed in February 2003. The 311th Human Systems Wing, Brooks Air Force Base, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41624-01-D-8547-0006).
