NAVY

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $52,541,054 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-00-C-2112) to exercise an option for lead yard services in support of Virginia class submarines. The contract provides for maintaining, updating and supporting Virginia class design, related drawings data, and technology insertion for each Virginia class submarine throughout its construction and post shakedown availability (PSA) period. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (98 percent), Newport, R.I. (one percent) and Quonset Point, R.I. (one percent), and is to be completed by April 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Co., McKinney Texas, is being awarded a $13,528,334 undefinitized firm-fixed-price modification under basic ordering agreement (N00164-00-G-0007) job order 0010. This modification will provide 13 Multi-spectral Targeting Systems (MTS) and a Forward Looking InfraRed (FLIR) Laser Detecting-Ranging-Tracking set. Work will be performed in McKinney, and is to be completed in August 2003. Contract funds in the amount of $8,325,129 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity.

Foster Wheeler Environmental Corp., Poulsbo, Wash., is being awarded a $5,967,778 delivery order under an indefinite-quantity and indefinite-delivery, cost-plus-award-fee contract for phase I environmental remedial action at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Naval Station Bremerton. The first phase will consist of design and construction for the shoreline erosion control system and the storm drain work. Work will be performed in Bremerton, Wash., and is expected to be completed by December 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website, three proposals received and award made to Foster Wheeler Environmental Corp. on Dec. 19, 2001. The Engineering Field Activity, Northwest, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Poulsbo, Wash., is the contracting activity (N44255-01-D-2000).

Symvionics, Inc.*, Pasadena, Calif., is being awarded a $5,607,532 combination firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity contract for housing maintenance of approximately 3,000 military family housing units in North San Diego. This contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative not-to-exceed value of $21,108,372. Work will be performed at various military family housing sites in West and Northeast San Diego, Calif., and is to be completed by April 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Naval Facilities Engineering Command e-solicitation Web site with eight offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, is the contracting activity (N68711-02-D-8410).

Symvionics, Inc.*, Pasadena, Calif., is being awarded a $5,212,327 combination firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity contract for housing maintenance of approximately 3,000 military family housing units in South San Diego. This contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative not-to-exceed value of $19,675,924. Work will be performed at various military family housing sites in Central and Southbay San Diego, and is to be completed by April 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Naval Facilities Engineering Command e-solicitation Web site with eight offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, is the contracting activity (N68711-02-D-8411).

ARMY

Grove U.S.L.L.C., Shady Grove, Pa., is being awarded a $34,170,849 five-year requirements contract, firm-fixed-price and cost-plus fixed-fee contract for the Rough Terrain Container Crane (RTCC). Work will be performed in Shady Grove, Pa., and is to be completed by March 21, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole-source contract conducted with Grove only. The Tank and Automotive Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-02-D-T013).

R.W. Granger & Sons, Inc., Shrewsbury, Mass., is being awarded a $13,515,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the construction of a new C-130-J aircraft maintenance hangar and shops, consisting of a hangar bay, maintenance shops, administrative areas, and related site work. Work will be performed in North Kingstown, R.I., and is to be completed by May 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 21 bids solicited on June 8, 2001, and six bids were received. The U.S. Property & Fiscal Officer for R.I., is the contracting activity (DAHA37-02-C-0001).

Avon Rubber and Plastics, Cadillac, Mich., is being awarded a $500,000 modification to a cost-plus incentive-fee contract (DAAD13-00-C-0021) as an increment of $15,031,953 (cumulative total) for the exercise of option for the engineering manufacturing and development of the Joint Service General Purpose Mask. Work will be performed in Cadillac, Mich., (85 percent); Wiltshire SN12 SAA, England (15 percent), and is to be completed by March 4, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity.

Communications & Power Ind, Inc., Traveling Wave Tube Products Div., Palo Alto, Calif., is being awarded a $9,700,000 firm-fixed-price contract for a contractor depot, repair, rebuild program for the traveling wave tube. Work will be performed in Palo Alto, Calif., and is to be completed by Sept. 20, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were five bids solicited on Dec. 11, 2001, and one bid was received. The Communications Electronics Command Acquisition Center, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-02-D-A517)

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Valero Marketing and Supply Company, San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded $8,744,537 fixed-price with economic price adjustment type contract for 10,500,000 USG of EN590 for the Government of Israel. Work will also be performed at Texas City, Texas. Performance completion is expected to be April 30, 2002. Contract funds will expire in the current fiscal year. There were 10 proposals solicited and three responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Fuel Supply Center, Fort Belvoir, Va. (SP0600-02-D-0502)

AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Co., Berkeley, Mo., is being awarded a $5,079,156 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for 228 Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JADM) guided vehicles, Lot 2, for the Israeli Air Force. The JADM weapon system provides the Air Force and Navy with an improved aerial delivery capability for existing 1000 and 2000-pound bombs. The JADM is a strap-on kit with Inertial Navigation System/Global Positioning System capability. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be complete September 2003. This effort supports foreign military sales to Israel. The Air Armament Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08635-02-C-0060).
