NAVY

Sea Pac Engineering Inc.*, Reseda, Calif., is being awarded a maximum amount of $15,000,000 guaranteed minimum of $250,000 (base period), firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity contract consisting of individual delivery orders issued to provide a broad range of minor construction, repair and alterations to government-owned facilities. The requirements will be ordered on an as-needed basis and will include tasks in a variety of trades such as painting, carpentry, roofing, excavation, interior and exterior electrical, plumbing, masonry, concrete, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, boilers, etc. Work will be performed at the Naval Base Ventura County, Calif. and surrounding government facilities to include Point Mugu, Port Hueneme, and San Nicolas and Santa Cruz Islands, and is to be completed by May 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Naval Facilities e-solicitation Web site with 15 offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego is the contracting activity (N68711-00-D-8405).

Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co., Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $8,352,108 fixed-price contract for the Drydocking Selected Restricted Availability (DSRA) of USS Vella Gulf (CG-72). Work will be performed in Newport News and is to be completed by August 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $8,352,108 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Internet, with four proposals solicited and two offers received. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, U.S. Navy, Portsmouth, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-92-H-8019).

AIR FORCE

Alliance General Contractors, LLC, Colorado Springs, Colo., (F48608-02-D-0005) and MIC and CCS, South Jordan, Utah (F48608-02-D-0006) are being awarded a $7,000,000 indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract to provide for maintenance, repair, and minor construction services under the Simplified Acquisition of base Engineering Requirements Contracts. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, although actual requirements may necessitate less than the above. At this time, no funds have been obligated. This work will be completed by May 2010. There were 11 firms solicited in December 2001. The 90th Space Wing, F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo., is the contracting activity.

Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education, Dayton, Ohio, is being awarded a $5,169,017 cooperative agreement contract to develop materials and processes to meet life cycle performance criteria through short-term intermittent student-level research. At this time, $145,000 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be completed by May 2008. Solicitation began January 2002, and two proposals were received. Negotiations were completed May 2002. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33615-02-2-5800).

ARMY

On May 22, 2002, Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., was awarded a delivery order amount of $7,071,132.18 as part of a $14,430,882 (cumulative total) firm-fixed- price contract for overhaul of an additional 66 main module transmissions in support of the Black Hawk Helicopter. Work will be performed in Shelton, Conn., and is to be completed by May 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on May 13, 2002. The U. S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (N00383-99-D-016N).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Metropolitan Provisions*, City of Industry, Calif., is being awarded a $6,100,000 firm-fixed-price with indefinite-quantity and delivery-type contract for prime vendor food and beverage support for U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies. Work will also be performed for DoD and non-DoD customers at Phoenix Southwest Region. This contract is exercising its first year option. Performance completion date is scheduled for June 2, 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 93 proposals solicited and three were responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (SP0300-02-D-3007).
