AIR FORCE

Atkins Benham Inc., Oklahoma City is being awarded a $45,000,000 indefinite-quantity and indefinite-delivery contract to provide for Architect-Engineer Services for Architectural and Planning Services. The work will primarily pertain to military family housing, force protection, commercial facilities and infrastructures. Requirements may include, but not be limited to (a) Title I Services: schematic designs, design charettes, existing building conditions plans, preparation of specifications and construction contract documents, value engineering, cost estimating, landscape and irrigation design; (b) Title II Services: construction management and inspection, submittal reviews, site visits, preparation of as-built drawings; (c) Other Services: preparing, revising and editing Air programming (DD Forms 1391) and Requirements and Management Plans; renderings; analyses; surveys and reports including geotechnical, topographic, environmental, hazardous material (asbestos, lead based paint, etc.), and facility condition/utilization assessments/analysis. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, although actual requirements may necessitate less than the amount above. At this time, no funds have been obligated. Solicitation began February 2002; Negotiations were completed June 2002. NAVY

Systems Engineering Associates Corp. (SEACORP), Middletown, R.I., is being awarded a $15,169,960 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for technical support services for the maintenance, test, and upgrade of submarine combat systems. Work will be performed in Middletown (75 percent) and Newport, R.I. (25 percent), and is to be completed by June 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured and published in the Commerce Business Daily with one offer received. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport is the contracting activity (N66604-02-D-0267).

Integrated Consulting Services, Inc. (ICS), Louisville, Ky., is being awarded a $6,134,136, firm-fixed-price contract for MK 119, Mod 0 Gun Computer System Cabinet, with interim support and test spares. Work will be performed in Louisville and is to be completed by September 2003. Contract funds in the amount of $4,907,308 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured and advertised in the Commerce Business Daily with six proposals solicited and one offer received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division-Louisville Detachment is the contracting activity (N63394-02-C-4007).

AMSEC LLC, Virginia Beach, Va., is being awarded an estimated $6,098,456 indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for mission-essential engineering and maintenance services and materials for aircraft carrier maintenance and modernization advance planning, work package development, and integration in support of Navy aircraft carriers and associated battle groups. The requiring activity is Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Newport News, Va. This contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $39,117,532. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va. (estimated 20 percent); San Diego (estimated 20 percent); Bremerton, Wash. (estimated 10 percent); Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Philadelphia and Jacksonville, Fla. (estimated 15 percent), on board aircraft carriers and associated battle groups (an estimated 15 percent); and other areas, including outside the U.S. (an estimated 20 percent). Work is to be completed in January 2004. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities and Navy Electronic Commerce Online, with two offers received. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk is the contracting activity (N00189-02-D-0037).

Norfolk Shipbuilding & Drydocking Corp. (NORSHIPCO), Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a $5,720,897 firm-fixed-price contract for the conversion of fast combat support ship USNS Arctic. USNS Arctic was transferred from U.S. Navy's combatant fleet to the Military Sealift Command fleet. A major portion of the work to be performed under this contract includes habitability modifications to support operation of the ship by civilian mariners as well as repairs and modifications to other ship systems. This contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $6,750,897. Work will be performed in Norfolk and is expected to be completed in January 2002. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with nine proposals solicited and four offers received. The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command Atlantic, Norfolk is the contracting activity (N62381-02-C-2027).

ARMY

Marinex Construction Co. Inc., is being awarded a $8,386,241 increment as part of a $8,386,241 firm-fixed price contract for maintenance dredging of Savannah Harbor and Sediment Basin Stations. Work will be performed in Chatham, Georgia (75 percent) and Jasper, S.C. (25 percent), and is to be completed on Dec. 1, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on March 26, 2002, and two bids were received. The U. S. Army Engineer District, Savannah, Ga., is the contracting activity (DACW21-02-C-0007).

Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Co., Oak Brook, Ill., is being awarded a $5,658,790 increment as part of a $5,658,790 firm-fixed-price contract for lease of one Cutterhead Hydraulic Pipeline Dredge, "Pontchartrain", Fully-Operated with Attendant Plant. Work will be performed at any point on the Mississippi River between Wickliff, Ky., and Greenville, Miss., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 10 bids solicited on April 26, 2002, and one bid was received. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis, Tenn., is the contracting activity (DACW66-02-C-0016).

Butt Construction Co., Dayton, Ohio, is being awarded a $11,221,000 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of a 90,000 square foot building addition to Acquisition Management Complex Phase IVA. Work will be performed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and is to be completed by Feb. 25, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 122 bids solicited on April 16, 2002, and seven bids were received. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity (DACA27-02-C-0014).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Owens & Minor, Glen Allen, Va., is being awarded a $91,334,000 firm-fixed-price with indefinite quantity and delivery type of contract for prime vendor of medical and surgical in the West Region for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, federal civilian agencies, U.S. Coast Guard and non-DoD. Work will also be performed in Livermore, San Diego, City of Industry, Ca.; Auburn, Wash.; and Wilsonville, Ore. This contract is exercising its first year option. Performance completion date is scheduled for February 19, 2004. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 40 proposals solicited and four had responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. (SP0200-00-D-7164).

Allegiance HealthCare Corp., McGaw Park, Ill., is being awarded a $91,334,000 firm-fixed-price with indefinite quantity and delivery type of contract for prime vendor of medical and surgical in the West Region for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, federal civilian agencies, U.S. Coast Guard, and non-DoD. Work will also be performed in Ontario and Hayward, Ca.; Anchorage, Ark.; Kapolei, Hawaii.; Redmond, Wash.; and Wilsonville, Ore. This contract is exercising its first year option. Performance completion date is scheduled for Feb. 19, 2004. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 40 proposals solicited and four had responded. AmeriQual Group, LLC*, Evansville, In., is being awarded a $8,367,185 firm-fixed-price with indefinite-quantity and delivery type of contract for wet pack fruits in maximum quantities each as follows: mixed fruit-2,348,250; peaches-2,348,250; pears-2,348,250; pineapple-2,348,250; and spiced apple-3,700,000 for all services. Performance completion date is schedule for June 17, 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 17 proposals solicited and three had responded.
