NAVY

Lockheed Martin Corp., Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems - Undersea Systems, Manassas, Va., is being awarded a $46,029,724 cost-plus-incentive-fee and award-fee option to previously awarded contract (N00024-01-C-6237) for level-of-effort engineering and technical services in support of the Acoustic Rapid Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Insertion (ARCI) program. ARCI is a sonar system upgrade that integrates and improves towed array, hull array, sphere array, and other ship sensor processing on SSN 688, SSN 688I and SSBN 726 Class submarines. These improvements are incorporated via rapid insertion of COTS based hardware and software. Efforts to be performed include interfaces to the legacy systems; signal processing enhancements; display enhancements; and incorporation of government furnished information algorithms. Work will be performed in Manassas and is to be completed by December 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C. is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co., Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $10,000,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-99-C-2100) for aircraft carrier engineering support services. The contract will provide engineering, technical, and design agent services in support of aircraft carrier programs. This effort includes conducting and supporting feasibility and tradeoff studies on new and modified shipboard systems, and supporting ship design efforts. Work will be performed in Newport News and is to be completed by September 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C. is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Curtiss Wright Flight Systems dba Lau Defense Systems, Littleton, Mass., is being awarded a delivery order amount of $10,300,000 as part of a $10,300,000 firm-fixed-price contract for procurement of various spare parts in support of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle System A3 program. Work will be performed in Littleton, Mass., and is to be completed by Nov. 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Nov. 1, 2002. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAE20-02-G-0004).

Northrop Grumman Corp. Electric Systems, Azusa, Calif., was awarded a $300,000 increment as part of a $9,996,473 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for development and upgrading of their patented sensor and deliver vehicle concepts for a Full Spectrum Active Protection System Projectile Development and Demonstration for combat vehicle and high value assets on Nov. 8, 2002. Work will be performed in Azusa and is to be completed by Nov. 30, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Oct. 18, 2002. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAE30-03-C-1005).

Raytheon Co., Bedford, Mass., was awarded a $9,044,100 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract for FY02 Patriot engineering services on Nov. 13, 2002. Work will be performed in Burlington, Mass. (7 percent), Huntsville, Ala. (9 percent), Andover, Mass. (1 percent), Tewksbury, Mass. (64 percent), El Paso, Texas (2 percent), Beford (16 percent), and Orlando, Fla. (1 percent), and is to be completed by Jan. 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Sept. 21, 1998. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-99-C-0028).

Boeing Sikorsky Comanche Team (Joint Venture), Bridgeport, Conn., is being awarded a $3,392,729,130 increment as part of a $6,555,077,739 cost-plus-award-fee contract for a partial definitization of a change order requirement to restructure the RAH-66 Comanche engineering and manufacturing development contract. Work will be performed in Ridley Park, Pa. (60 percent), Bridgeport (27 percent), Stratford, Conn. (9 percent), and West Palm Beach, Fla. (4 percent), and is to be completed by July 1, 2011. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on April 18, 2002. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-00-C-A001).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

PAE Korea Ltd., Mapo-Gu, Seoul, Korea, is being awarded an $11,001,860 firm-fixed-price type of contract for services for the operation, maintenance, and security of overseas Government-owned, contractor-operated locations entailing storage and laboratory services involving three grades of U.S. Government-owned product (JP8, F76, and Mogas) for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. Work will also be performed in Kunsan, Yechon, Pohan, and Pyongtaek. Performance completion date is scheduled for November 30, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a web proposal solicitation and three responded. The contracting activity for this contract is the Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va. (SP0600-03-C-5302)
