AIR FORCE

The Boeing Co., St. Louis is being awarded a $19,448,296 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for Acquire Aircrew Training Devices (ATDs), and ATD Tactical Air Navigation production forward fit kits. These options are being exercised for a previously awarded contract. Manufacture of the ATD's is being accomplished at Boeing facilities in St. Louis and installation is being accomplished at Vance Air Force Base, Okla., Laughlin Air Force Base, Nev., and Moody Air Force Base, Valdosta, Ga. The total funds have been obligated. This work will be completed by September 2005. The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-95-C-0057, P00138).

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Baltimore is being awarded a $17,174,103 cost-plus award-fee contract modification. The Defense Meteorological Satellite Program will exercise Option 3 to acquire one year of support and services efforts to assure that the specified Government-owned sensors i.e. Optical Linescan System, Special Sensor Microwave Temperature Sounder 1 and 2, Special Sensor Electron and Ion Plasma Monitor 2 and 3, Special Sensor Electron and Ion Spectrometer 4 and 5, Special Sensor Ultraviolet Limb Imager, Special Sensor Ultraviolet Spectrographic Imager, and Special Sensor Magnetometer are upgraded, prepared, sustained, integrated and operated to achieve the user's requirements for high integrity sensor data in support of quality weather tracking and prediction products. At this time, $14,153,393 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be completed by November 2003. The Headquarters Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base is the contracting activity (F04701-00-C-0001, P00032).

ARMY

General Dynamics Robotic Systems Inc., Westminster, Md., a $17,644,306.38 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for FY03 production option, logistics support, warranty and on-site support for the M56 Smoke Generators was awarded on Nov. 27, 2002. Work will be performed in Westminster, Md., and is to be completed by March 14, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Sept. 27, 2002. The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity (DAAD13-01-C-0009).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., Seal Beach, Calif., was awarded an $11,479,895 increment as part of a $66,081,816 cost-plus-award-fee contract for the maintenance and logistical support of the AN and TSQ-134, the Advanced Electronic Processing and Dissemination System on Nov. 27, 2002. Work will be performed in Seal Beach and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Sept. 17, 1998. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (OSIA01-98-C-0005).

General Dynamics Land Systems Inc., Sterling Heights, Mich., was a $10,450,000 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for system technical support for the Abrams Tank Program awarded on Nov. 27, 2002. Work will be performed in Sterling Heights and is to be completed by Sept. 30, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Nov. 23, 2001. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-N075).

General Dynamics Land Systems Inc., Sterling Heights, Mich., was awarded a delivery order amount of $5,849,825 as part of an $8,835,202 firm-fixed-price contract for ten gigabyte solid state removable memory cartridges for retrofit into M1A2 Abrams SEP tanks. Work will be performed in Sterling Heights (0.2 percent) and Bloomington, Minn. (99.8 percent), and is to be completed by Aug. 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 15, 2002. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-G-N001).
