TRICARE

Delta Dental Plan of San Francisco was awarded a contract to provide services for the Tricare Retiree Dental Program on Nov. 29, 2002. This contract is replacing the current contract, which is scheduled to expire April 30, 2003. The contract is self-funded by enrollment preminums. Based on current enrollment, the contract is valued at approximately $987,098,652 over five-years. Work on the new contract will begin immediately with dental insurance service delivery beginning on May1, 2003. The Tricare Mangement Activity, Aurora, Colo., is the contracting activity (MDA906-03-D-0001).

NAVY

Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc., Schenectady, N.Y., is being awarded a $177,503,811 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-02-C-2102) for naval nuclear propulsion components. Work will be performed in Schenectady (59 percent) and Pittsburgh (41 percent). Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. No additional information is provided on naval nuclear propulsion efforts. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin, Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems, Moorestown, N.J., is being awarded a $153,139,684 cost-plus-award-fee, level-of-effort modification under previously awarded contract (N00024-98-C-5197) to exercise an option for 1,620,918 hours of engineering and technical services to perform AEGIS combat system baseline upgrades and critical experiments. Work will be performed in Moorestown and is to be completed by September 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $118,763,827 firm-fixed-price modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-02-C-5421) to procure 163 Evolved Seasparrow Missiles (ESSM) and 26 shipping containers. This contract modification procures ESSMs for Australia, Denmark, the Netherlands and the U.S. The NATO Seasparrow consortium includes the United States and 9 other countries. Work will be performed in Tucson (36 percent); Andover, Mass. (9 percent); Camden, Ark. (3 percent); Minneapolis (1 percent); Australia (12 percent); Germany (10 percent); The Netherlands (9 percent); Canada (7 percent); Norway (4 percent); Spain (3 percent); Denmark (2 percent); Greece (2 percent); and Turkey (2 percent), and is to be completed by April 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc., Schenectady, N.Y., is being awarded an $86,680,875 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-02-C-2101) for naval nuclear propulsion components. Work will be performed in Schenectady (55 percent) and Pittsburgh (45 percent). Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $16,714,976 firm-fixed-price, time and materials contract for the Special Progressive Aircraft Rework (SPAR) Program for the VH-3D and VH-60N helicopters. Work will be performed in Stratford (90 percent) and Quantico, Va. (10 percent), and is to be completed in April 2004. Contract funds in the amount of $16,099,668 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity (N00019-03-C-0006).

Raytheon Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $6,023,800 firm-fixed-price modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-02-C-5421) to procure 1700 radomes for the Evolved Seasparrow Missiles (ESSM). This contract modification procures radomes to be used in the production of ESSMs for the NATO Consortium, which includes the United States and 9 other countries. Work will be performed in Canton, N.Y. (95 percent) and Tucson (5 percent), and is to be completed by January 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Marisco, Ltd, Kapolei, Hawaii, is being awarded a $5,450,152 firm-fixed-price contract for the Restricted Availability of the Repair Berthing & Messing Barge (YRBM-52). This contract contains options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative contract value to $7,618,379. Work will be performed in Kapolei and is to be completed by May 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This award was competitively procured and advertised electronically in the Federal Business Opportunities Web site, with five proposals solicited and two offers received. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion, & Repair, U.S. Navy, San Diego is the contracting activity (N62791-03-C-0015).
