AIR FORCE

Boeing Co., Seattle is being awarded a $277,766,178 fixed-price-incentive, firm-fixed-price, time and materials, labor hour contract modification to provide for Global Solution, restructures the NATO mid-term EMD portion of the contract (equal to an increase of $239,898,308), establishes long-lead procurement to protect production and retrofit (PAR) schedules and price (equal to an increase of $37,867,870), establishes prices options for the PAR phase of the NATO mid-term program (equal to $521,579,065). The priced options include the kits for production and retrofit of 17 NATO Airborne Warning And Control System Aircraft and two mission simulators as well as the procurement of initial and follow-on spares. Boeing will perform this effort in Seattle and other locations. At this time, $267,766,178 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be completed by October 2008. The negotiations were completed in October 2002. The Headquarters Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-97-C-0112, P00068).

Northrop Grumman Corp., Rolling Meadows, Ill., is being awarded a $25,206,914 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for F-15E AN and ALG-135 Band 1.5 Lot IV option exercise. At this time $7,333,080 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be complete by June 2005. The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity (F33657-98-C-0037, P00045).

ARMY

AM General Corp., South Bend, Ind., is being awarded a $48,981,015 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 643 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles. Work will be performed in South Bend and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on July 17, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-S001).

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., was awarded a delivery order amount of $41,355,720 as part of a $41,355,720 firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance and overhaul of 180 "A" transmissions on Dec. 16, 2002. Work will be performed in Shelton and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on April 5, 2002. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (N00383-99-D-016N).

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., was awarded a delivery order amount of $17,701,816 as part of a $24,511,966 firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance and overhaul of 242 Cat IV main rotor blades on Dec. 16, 2002. Work will be performed in Shelton and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on April 5, 2002. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (N00383-99-D-016N).

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., was awarded a delivery order amount of $22,748,760 as part of a $22,748,760 firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance and overhaul of the following components: tail rotor gearboxes, tail rotor blades, spindle assemblies, and input modules on Dec. 16, 2002. Work will be performed in Shelton, Conn., and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on April 5, 2002. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (N00383-99-D-016N).

Kinley Construction Co., Arlington, Texas, was awarded a $5,079,410 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a bulk fuel storage tank on Dec. 16, 2002. Work will be performed at McGuire Air Force Base, N.J., and is to be completed by Feb. 4, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 54 bids solicited on Sept. 24, 2002, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha, Neb., is the contracting activity (DACA45-03-C-0001).

NAVY

Raytheon Co., Naval & Maritime Integrated Systems, San Diego is being awarded a $37,625,753 modification to previously awarded cost-plus-award-fee contract (N67854-01-C-2089) to fund the Systems Design and Development Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S). The CAC2S is a software intensive program that will create a new baseline to support the command and control function of the Marine Air Command and control system. work will be performed in San Diego (65 percent); Waco, Texas (10 percent); Huntsville, Ala. (10 percent); and Scottsdale, Ariz. (15 percent), and is to be completed in 2007. Contract funds will expire by the end of the current fiscal year. Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va.

Engineered Arresting Systems Corp., Aston, Pa., is being awarded a $6,959,369 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive contract (N68335-98-C-0225) to exercise an option for the manufacture of seven M31 Marine Corps Expeditionary arresting gear systems and interim spares/repair parts. Work will be performed in Aston, Pa., and is to be completed in June 2004. Contract funds in the amount of $446,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISITCS AGENCY

Belleville Shoe Mfg., Co.*, Belleville, Ill., is being awarded $5,966,620 fixed-price with economic-price adjustment and indefinite delivery and quantity type of contract for infantry combat boots for the U.S. Marine Corps. This contract is exercising its first year option. The performance completion date is expected to be Dec. 16, 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 77 solicitations with 10 responses. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (SP0100-02-D-0318).
