AIR FORCE

BAE Systems, Greenlawn, N.Y., is being awarded a $45,750,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for six reconnaissance pods and two ground stations, support equipment, technical manuals, spares, training and repair services in support of the Egyptian Theater Airborne Reconnaissance Systems Program (F-16s) and foreign military sales for Egypt. At this time, $23,875,000 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be complete by January 2007. Solicitation began November 2002. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-03-C-4315).

Harris Corp., Melbourne, Fla., is being awarded a $17,549,000 cost-plus award-fee, firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for Ground Multi-band Terminals (GMT). The proposed system is a ground-based, multi-band satellite communications terminal. The GMT will be capable of providing current Defense Satellite Communication System, two-way X-band, planned Wideband Gapfiller System and two-way X- and Ka-band services and commercial two-way C- and Ku-band services. The design will allow users to configure the system for any services. This system will be interoperable with the Lightweight Multi-band Satellite Terminal, SHF Tri-band Advanced Range Extension Tactical Terminal, standardized technology entry point sites, integrated communications access packages and tri-service tactical equipment. At this time, no funds have been obligated. Negotiations were completed November 2002. Headquarters Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-01-C-0052, P00020).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Bindley Western Industries Inc., Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded $23,693,861 firm-fixed-price with indefinite-quantity/delivery type of contract for pharmaceutical services for the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. Performance completion date is expected to be Dec. 26, 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 74 solicitations, and four responded. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0200-96-D-7019).

NAVY

M. A. Mortenson Co., Minneapolis, Minn., is being awarded a $23,150,000 firm-fixed-price Task Order H103 under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award construction contract for design and construction of the Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department Consolidation Building at Chambers Field, Naval Station, Norfolk. The work to be performed includes site work, demolition and removal, removal and disposal of asbestos and lead-containing materials, equipment relocations, provisions for a precast, prestressed concrete pile supported, steel-framed building with masonry and insulated metal siding walls, modified bituminous membrane over rigid insulation and metal deck, elevator, interior finishes, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work and incidental related work. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by June 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website, with 17 offers received and award made on June 21, 2002. The total contract amount is not to exceed $700,000,000, which includes the base period and four option years. The multiple contractors (five in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Five offers were received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62472-01-D-0077).

Lockheed Martin Management and Data Systems, Philadelphia, Pa., is being awarded a $14,266,214 cost-plus-award-fee contract to design, develop, fabricate, test and integrate software updates for the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System. Work will be performed in Valley Forge, Pa. (96%); Moorestown, N.J. (2%); and Conifer, Colo. (2%), and is to be completed in December 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-03-C-0002).

Rockwell Collins Government Systems Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a $10,813,979 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-02-C-3004) to exercise an option for the production of 187 AN/ARC-210(V) Electronic Protection Radio Systems (25 RT-1556B receiver transmitters and 162 RT-1794(c) receiver transmitter) for the U.S. Air Force (25 RT-1556B and 25 RT-1794(c) receiver transmitters) and for the governments of Australia (129 1794 (c) receiver transmitters) and the Netherlands (8 1794(c) receiver transmitters). This modification also includes ancillary equipment for the U.S. Navy and the government of Canada. Work will be performed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is to be completed in February 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This modification combines purchases for the U.S. Air Force ($2,909,359; 27 %); the U.S. Navy ($15,718; .5%), and the governments of Australia ($7,171,368; 66%), the Netherlands ($713,034; 6%) and Canada ($4,500; .5%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
