AIR FORCE

The Boeing Co., St. Louis, is being awarded a $15,274,231 firm-fixed-price contract modification. This is the definitization modification of letter contract and partial incremental change orders (Modifications P0001, P00002, and P00003) for low-rate initial production 3 of the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System procured for the U.S. Air Force F-15, and F-16, and for the Navy F/A-18 platforms. At this time, $41,080,331 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be completed by December 2004. Solicitation began in December 2001 and negotiations were completed in November 2001. The Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-02-C-2004, PZ0004).

Science Applications International Corp., San Diego, is being awarded a $12,320,827 cost-plus fixed-fee contract modification to provide for Prototype sensor payload for MDA Research Experiment (Near Field Infrared Experiment) Flight Demonstration to prove technologies for early launch detection, missile tracking, plume to hard body handoff, kill vehicle aim point selection and kill assessment. At this time, $1,200,000 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be completed by February 2004. The solicitation began in November 2002 and negotiations were completed in January 2003. Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., is the contracting activity (F29601-03-C-0118).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

General Electric Co. Division General, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $5,685,805 firm-fixed-price type of contract for executing a modification to General Electric Aircraft Engines for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. This contract has a two-year base period and three two-year option periods for a potential of ten years. The performance completion date is March 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole-source contract that meets the requirements. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Richmond, Va., (SP0400-00-D-9403).
