ARMY

General Dynamics Decision Systems, Scottsdale, Ariz., was awarded a $6,500,000 increment as part of a $19,863,200 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for ground based signals intelligence capability called Prophet (Block II/III (AN/MLQ-40(v)4) on March 7, 2003. Work will be performed in Scottsdale and is to be completed Feb. 28, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Aug. 1, 2002, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-03-C-L426).

Raytheon Systems Co., Bedford, Mass., was awarded a $19,020,310 firm-fixed-price contract for design, engineering, development, fabrication and production of the Hawk Battery fire direction control on March 6, 2003. Work will be performed in Bedford and is to be completed by March 31, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Feb. 18, 2003. The U.S. Army, Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-03-C-0085).

Rockwell Scientific Co., Thousand Oaks, Calif., was awarded a $1,300,000 increment as part of a $10,317,151 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the Adaptive Focal Plane Array program on March 6, 2003. Work will be performed in Thousand Oaks and is to be completed by March 6, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on June 1, 2002, and 20 bids were received. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-03-C-K619).

Highland Engineering Inc., Howell, Mich., was awarded a $5,405,400 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 42 skid-mounted reverse-osmosis water purification units on March 6, 2003. Work will be performed in Howell and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on March 21, 2002. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-02-C-T018).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems Co., Marietta, Ga., is being awarded a $13,451,255 firm-fixed-price contract modification for maintenance training devices in support of the C-130J aircraft. The locations of performance are Lockheed Martin, Marietta and CAE USA, Inc., Tampa, Fla. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-00-C-0044, P000011).

Stanford University, Office of Sponsored Projects, Stanford, Calif., is being awarded a $5,497,391 cooperative-agreement contract. This contract will develop highly research-oriented hardware and software approaches in reconfigurable computing based on a novel circuit in which a machine architecture is virtualized and software methodologies are formulated based on the virtual machines. The location of performance is Stanford University. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., is the contracting activity (F29601-03-2-0117).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

U.S. Food Service, Inc., La Mirada, Ca., is being awarded a $20,000,000 firm-fixed-price with indefinite-quantity type of contract for prime vendors-full line food distribution for the U.S. Navy. The performance completion date is March 12, 2004. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 25 solicitations and four responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (SP0300-03-D-3051).

Texas Gas Service Co., Austin, Texas, was awarded a $9,479,280 firm-fixed-price type of contract for assuming ownership, operation and maintenance of the natural gas distribution system for the U.S. Army. The performance completion date is March 2013. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source solicitation. The contracting activity is the Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va. (SP0600-03-C-8252).

NAVY

Garco Construction, Inc., Spokane, Wash., is being awarded a $10,339,000 firm-fixed-price contract to replace bulk fuel storage tanks at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, New Orleans. Work will be performed in New Orleans and is to be completed by January 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 31 proposals solicited and six offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, North Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (N62467-01-C-0351).
