NAVY

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $15,424,306 modification to previously awarded contract for consolidated design agent, planning yard and engineering and technical support for nuclear submarines. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (89%); Kings Bay, Ga. (6%); and Quonset, R.I. (5%), and is expected to be completed in September 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Wash., D.C., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Tactical Systems, Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems, St. Paul, Minn., is being awarded a $9,184,346 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-99-C-1275) to exercise an option for the manufacture, assembly, test, and installation of one Anti-Surface Warfare Improvement Program kit for the P-3C Update III aircraft, and the manufacture of eight DF Antennae AS-4439, eight DF Antennae OGCL4, and nine power processor card circuit card assemblies for the P-3C Block Modification Upgrade Program. Work will be performed in Egan, Minn., (26%); Greenville, S.C. (22%); Clearwater, Fla. (16%); Farmingdale, N.Y. (11%); Burlington, Ontario, Canada (9%); Morgan Hill, Calif. (9%); and at various locations across the United States (7%), and is expected to be completed in September 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Q.E.D. Systems Inc., Virginia Beach, Va., is being awarded a $6,526,777 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for mission essential engineering and technical services for Ships Engineering Planning Support Services (SEPS). This contract contains options that, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $35,396,255. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va. (50%); San Diego, Calif. (25%); and Bremerton, Wash. (25%). Work is expected to be completed by April 2004. Contract funds will expire by the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website and Navy Electronic Commerce-Online, with two offers received. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N00189-03-D-0031).

BAE Systems Applied Technologies, Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $6,231,347 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for technical and engineering services relating to various Naval Undersea Warfare Center submarine launcher systems. Submarine launcher systems covered by this contract include horizontal weapon launch and handling, vertical missile launch (VLS), and handling, and small device and ancillary launchers and handling. Types of services include: design and analysis of new and existing submarine weapon systems; logistics support analyses; investigations of system problems; preparation of engineering manuals; fabrication, installation and test of prototype and production hardware on board submarines and land-based facilities. Work will be performed in Newport, R.I. (60%); Rockville, Md. (20%); Norfolk, Va. (5%); San Diego, Calif. (5%); and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (10%), and is expected to be completed by April 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via a synopsis on the Federal Business Opportunities website, with one offer received. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, R.I., is the contracting activity (N66604-03-D-0016).

Centennial Contractors Enterprises Inc., Vienna, Va., is being awarded a maximum amount of $5,000,000, with a guaranteed minimum of $500,000 (base period), firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity construction job order contract for new construction, renovation, alteration, repairs and incidental work on general construction projects. The total contract amount is not to exceed $25,000,000 (base period and four option years). Work will be performed within the Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, N.C. (55%); Marine Corps Air Station, New River, Jacksonville, N.C. (45%) and other government facilities in N.C. (5%), and is expected to be completed by April 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal. This contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website, with eight offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va. is the contracting activity (N62470-02-D-3301).

AIR FORCE

Chavez Contracting Inc., Wichita Falls, Texas, is being awarded a $10,000,000 firm fixed prices indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide new fences at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than this amount. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be completed by April 2007. Solicitation began in November 2002 and negotiations were completed in April 2003. The Air Education and Training Command, Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41612-03-D-0003).

Radian Inc., Alexandria, Va., is being awarded a $7,134,132 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide various Hardware Components of the Deployable Power Generator Distribution System. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be completed in December 2003. The Air Armament Center, Eglin Air Force Base, is the contracting activity (F08635-02-C-0046, P00023).
