AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $279,900,000 firm fixed price contract modification to provide for the purchase of 10 F-16C/D Block 50 aircraft with associated alternate mission equipment for the Chilean Air Force. We originally had a letter contract for the first 14 months of contract performance to allow the contractor to proceed prior to negotiations of this definitizing contract modification. At this time $299,800,000 has been obligated. This work will be complete December 2007. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-02-C-2017-PZ0002).

Raytheon Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $88,000,000 cost plus award fee contract to provide for system development and demonstration of the Miniature Air Launched Decoy, a low cost, expendable, air launched vehicle that can present the radar signature and operational flight profile characteristics of a fighter/bomber/attack aircraft with sufficient fidelity to stimulate, deceive, and decoy threat Integrated Air Defense System. At this time, $3,600,000 has been obligated. This work will be complete June 2008. Solicitations began January 2003 and negotiations were completed April 2003. The Air Armament Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08635-03-C-0002).

Intevac Inc., Santa Clara, Calif., is being awarded a $22,513,688 cost reimbursable, cost plus fixed fee contract to provide the necessary materials, including any hardware, facilities, supplies, travel, labor, and services to perform systems for Airborne Laser sensing and analysis research in accordance with the contractor's statement of work dated April 2003 for the Air Force Research Laboratory, Phillips Research Site, Directed Energy Directorate, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. At this time, $1,000,000 has been obligated. This work will be complete May 2007. Solicitations began February 2003 and negotiations were completed May 2003. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., is the contracting activity (29601-03-C-0140).

NAVY

Unidyne Corp., Norfolk, Va., is being awarded an $11,556,228 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for engineering services in support of the module test and repair (MTR) program. Engineering services for the MTR program include productivity requirements for Gold Disk "computer disk" technology and the training of military and civilian personnel in utilizing this technology to analyze and repair circuit card assembly failures. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by May 2008. Contract funds in the amount of $212,120 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured. The solicitation was posted on the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport contracts web site, and two offers were received. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, R.I., is the contracting activity (N66604-03-D-1428).

Korte Construction Company dba The Korte Company, Highland, Ill., is being awarded $6,958,700 for firm-fixed-price Task Order 0002 under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple award, construction contract for an All-Weather Training Facility at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. Work will be performed in Parris Island, S.C., and is expected to be completed by September 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured and award made on May 30, 2002. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $200,000,000. The multiple contractors (five in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Two offers were received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, North Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (N62467-02-D-0416).

ARMY

Ultralife Batteries Inc., Newark, N.Y., was awarded on May 15, 2003, a $9,299,837 firm-fixed-price contract for 48,965 packages of the high performance lithium manganese dioxide battery. Work will be performed in Newark, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 20, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on May 6, 2003. The U. S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-03-C-A214).
