NAVY

I. E. Pacific Inc.*, San Diego, Calif.; Allright-Garcia Joint Venture*, Fresno, Calif.; Sea Pac Engineering Inc.*, Los Angeles, Calif.; Macro-Z-Technology Co.*, Santa Ana, Calif.; A&D Fire Protection Inc.*, Santee, Calif.; EPC Corp.*, Glendale, Ariz.; K.O.O. Construction Inc.*, West Sacramento, Calif.; M. Kennedy Co. Inc.*, Seattle, Wash.; and Consolidated Contracting Services Inc.*, San Clemente, Calif., are each being awarded a maximum amount of $30,000,000/guaranteed minimum of $25,000 (base period) firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple award construction contract for new construction, renovation/alteration and repair of various facilities within the North American Industry Code System. Types of projects may include, but are not limited to, administrative and industrial facilities, wholehouse revitalization, child care centers, lodges, recreation/fitness centers, retail complexes, warehouses, housing offices, community centers, commercial and institutional building construction, manufacturing and industrial build construction and other similar facilities. The aggregate of $270,000,000 will potentially be shared among all nine contractors with each contract not to exceed $30,000,000 (base period and four option years). The base period work is expected to be completed by July 2004. The total potential term of the contract is not to exceed sixty months (including options), with an expected completion date of July 2008. Work will be performed at various Navy and Marine Corps installations in California (90%), Arizona (6%), Nevada (3%) and New Mexico (1%). Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured as a 100% 8(a) set aside via the NAVFAC e-solicitation Web site, with 35 offers received. These nine contractors may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the awarded contract. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-03-D-7030/7031/7032/7033/7034/7035/7036/7037/7038).

Alliant Defense Electronics Systems Inc., Clearwater, Fla., is being awarded a $15,385,830 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-priced contract (N00019-98-C-0006) to exercise an option for AAR-47(V)2 sensor upgrade hardware weapons replacement assemblies, consisting of 1,244 optical sensor converters with laser warning capabilities for the Navy (624), Air Force (564), Army (48) and the United Kingdom (8); 223 computer processors for the Navy (97), Air Force (125) and Army (1); 290 control indicators for the Navy (166), Air Force (122) and United Kingdom (2); and 156 computer processor kits for the Navy (143), Army (11) and United Kingdom (2). Work will be performed in Clearwater, Fla., and is expected to be completed in March 2006. Contract funds in the amount of $56,705 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The procurement combines the purchases of the U.S. Navy ($8,591,783; 56%), the U.S. Air Force ($6,265,091; 41%), the U.S. Army ($443,915; 2.5%) and the government of the United Kingdom ($85,041; .5%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Southwest Marine Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $12,284,177 cost-plus-award-fee modification under a previously awarded contract (N00024-00-C-8505) to exercise an option for the dry docking phased maintenance availability of the USS Duluth (LPD-6). The availability will include various machinery repairs, boiler work and shipalts. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by August 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the fiscal year. The award was competitively procured and advertised via the Internet, with four proposals solicited and one offer received. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, U.S. Navy, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Nasatka Barrier Inc., Clinton, Md., is being awarded a $14,527,364 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract (DAAB15-02A-0002) for a total quantity of 406 Nasatka maximum security barriers and required accessories. Work will be performed in Clinton, Md., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 30, 2004. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one bid solicited on June 13, 2003, and one bid was received. The U.S. Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity.

New Era Builders Inc., Cleveland, Ohio, is being awarded a $10,995,597 firm-fixed-price contract for the design and construction of a two-story training building, a one-story vehicle maintenance shop and an unheated storage warehouse. Work will be performed in North Canton, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2005. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 48 bids solicited on April 14, 2003, and 10 bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity (DACA27-03-C-0011).

Engineering Design Technologies Inc., Enterprise Way, Marietta, Ga., is being awarded an $8,438,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the design and construction of a dormitory building and common building. Work will be performed at Pope Air Force Base, N.C., and is expected to be completed by July 30, 2005. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one bid solicited on May 21, 2003, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Savannah, Ga., is the contracting activity (DACA21-03-C-0012).

Honeywell International Inc., Tempe, Ariz., is being awarded a $7,800,000 modification to a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (DAAH23-03-D-0231) in order to procure and order supplies of various T-55 engine spare parts (30 parts). Work will be performed in Phoenix, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one bid solicited on March 6, 2003, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

R.C. Construction Co. Inc, Greenwood, Miss., is being awarded a $10,878,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the construction of a petroleum, oils and lubricants operations building and storage complex. Work will be performed at Pope Air Force, N.C., and is expected to be completed by July 30, 2005. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 250 bids solicited on Jan. 17, 2003, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Savannah, Ga., is the contracting activity (DACA21-03-C-0011).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Dakota Drug Inc.*, Minot, N.D., is being awarded a $6,590,000 firm-fixed-price with other requirements type of contract to act as prime vendor of pharmaceutical items for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. This contract is exercising its second year option. Performance completion date is Feb. 28, 2005. Contract funds will not expire this fiscal year. There were 87 solicitations, and eight responded. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0200-00-D-7049).
