CONTRACTS

 

NAVY

 

Raytheon Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $250,000,000 cost-plus-award-fee modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-00-C-5390) to provide engineering and technical services in support of standard missile Navy research and development programs.  Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by February 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

Electric Boat Corp., a General Dynamics company, Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $39,484,104 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-00-C-2103) to exercise options to conduct studies, perform services and integrate/incorporate technologies for tests/deployment on designated research and development submarines, as well as current and future submarine platforms, and provide engineering and technical support for research and development efforts.  Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by September 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The contract was not competitively procured.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $12,827,354 cost-plus-fixed-fee order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-03-G-0004) for the teardown and analysis of the F/A-18E/F test article aircraft FT50.  Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expected to be completed in January 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

 

General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, Burlington, Vt., is being awarded a $7,912,472 firm-fixed-price contract for Aegis weapon system MK82 MOD 0 gun and guided missile directors, MK 200 director controllers (MK82/MK200 D/DC) and related support items in support of Republic of Korea Foreign Military Sales Program.  The MK82 mounts the antenna assembly on an elevation-over-train pedestal and provides space stabilization for the radar line-of-sight (LOS).  The director, which is not limited in train or traverse positioning, supplies train and elevation position data and radar LOS rates in traverse and elevation for use by the fire control system computer.  Work will be performed in Burlington, Vt. (50%), and Marion, Va. (50%), and is expected to be completed by March 2007.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured and advertised on the Internet, with one offer received.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-03-C-5123).

 

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

 

Outdoor Venture Corp.*, Steams, Ky., is being awarded a $7,820,000 firm-fixed-price type of contract for tents for the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force.  Performance completion date is May 9, 2004.  Contract funds will not expire this fiscal year.  There were three solicitations, and three responded.  The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-03-C-6010).

 

Camel Manufacturing Co.*, Pioneer, Tenn., is being awarded a $6,589,349 firm-fixed-price type of contract for tents for the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force.  Performance completion date is May 2, 2004.  Contract funds will not expire this fiscal year.  There were four solicitations, and four responded.  The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-03-C-6003).

 

AC Inc.*, Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded a $6,435,304 firm-fixed-price type of contract for tents for the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force.  Performance completion date is May 8, 2004.  Contract funds will not expire this fiscal year.  There were three solicitations, and three responded.  The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-02-D-6502).

 

AIR FORCE

 

Integral Systems, Prince Georges County, Md., is being awarded a $7,740,592 cost-plus award-fee/firm-fixed-price contract modification.  This action adds and refines in-scope specification requirements and relocates effort between contract line item numbers and fiscal periods due to milestone and funding changes.   Integral Systems will perform this effort in Lanham, Md.  At this time, $861,170 of the funds has been obligated.  Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued.  This work will be complete by September 2007.  Headquarters Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-01-C-0012, P00022).

 

Charles Stark Draper Laboratory Inc., Cambridge, Mass., is being awarded a $7,253,272 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.  This effort will provide a prototype inertial instrument, namely the silicon oscillating accelerometer, a revolutionary integration of silicon micro-fabrication, packaging and high-performance electronics technologies that will enable strategic-grade performance from miniature, low-cost, high-reliability, solid-state inertial instrument.  The objective of this acquisition is for advanced guidance, navigation and control system designs and technologies that could lead to an integrated system for flight demonstration.  At this time, $1,259,755 of the funds has been obligated.  Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued.  This work will be complete by September 2008.  Solicitation began July 2002, and negotiations were completed July 2003.  The Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., is the contracting activity (F29601-03-C-0056).

 

BD Systems Inc., Torrance, Calif., is being awarded a $5,225,162 cost-plus award-fee contract modification to provide for extension of services (fiscal year 2004, Oct. 1, 2003, through March 31, 2004) for PeakNet at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo (Local area network support and base information transfer and postal center operations).  The location of performance is Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.  No funds have been obligated.  This work will be complete by March 2004.  The 21st Space Wing, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., is the contracting activity (F05604-98-C-9001).

 

ARMY

 

C.F. Jordan LP, Dallas, Texas, was awarded on Sept. 3, 2003, a $7,388,000 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of a 96-room visiting quarters.  Work will be performed at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 29, 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 44 bids solicited on June 26, 2003, and eight bids were received.  The U.S. Army District, Albuquerque, N.M., is the contracting activity (DACA47-03-C-0022).
