Lockheed Martin, Maritime Sensors and Systems, P.O. Box 1027, Moorestown, NJ 08057 is being awarded a $812,565,233.00 Cost-Plus-Award/Incentive-Fee (CPA/IF) contract for the continued development of the Block 2004 Aegis Weapon System (AWS) portion of the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) System, along with engineering analysis in support of the definition of future block capabilities. The contract includes the development and integration of the AWS upgrades to support BMDS engagement sequences, vertical launch system upgrades, command and control system upgrades, Aegis BMD Signal Processor efforts, flight test support, and development of unique equipment and devices required to support Aegis BMD baseline upgrades, demonstrations and experiments. The work will be performed in Moorestown, NJ and is expected to be complete by 31 December 2006. None of the funds will expire at the end of the fiscal year. Northrop Grumman Space and Mission Systems Corp., Space Technology, Redondo, Beach Calif., is being awarded a $60,230,205 contract modification to incorporate an equitable adjustment due to late delivery of government furnished property of the 1394a chipsets and the transfer of responsibility for the development, space qualification and delivery of the 1394a high speed firewire data bus/chipsets for the National Polar-Orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System to Northrop Grumman Space Technology from the Integrated Program Office. Northrop Grumman will perform this effort at Northrop Grumman Space and Mission Systems Corp., Redondo Beach Calif. (55%) and at ITT Industries, Aerospace/Communications Division, Fort Wayne, Ind. (29%). At this time, no funds have been obligated. This work will be complete November 2015. The National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System Integrated Program Office, Silver Spring Md., is the contracting activity (04701-02-C-0502, P00023).
L3 Communications, Integrated Systems, Greenville, Texas, is being awarded a $9,702,546 firm fixed price contract to provide for Follow-on Support Initial Spares for the Peace Pioneer Airborne Reconnaissance System. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete February 2007. Solicitation began September 2002 and negotiations were complete September 2003. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-03-G-4303/Order 0005).
Lockheed Martin, Advanced Technology Laboratories, 3 Executive Campus, Cherry Hill, N.J., is being awarded an $8,000,000 cost plus fixed fee contract to provide for design and development a plan understanding and monitoring associate for the Joint Air Ground Operations Unified Adaptive Planning Program. At this time, $60,000 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete October 2010. Solicitations began April 2003. BBNT Solutions LLC, Cambridge, Mass., is being awarded a $7,763,343 cost plus fixed fee contract to develop the capability to update models of assets and procedures that form the primitive elements of plan. This will then allow a supervisor to quickly and accurately install new models into the overall Joint Air/Ground operations: unified, adaptive replanning software system. This effort includes developing and understanding of the air operations domain, software model requirements of other component developers, design and implementation of appropriated software to enable model adaptation, cooperation with the System Design and Integration developer, and participation in experimentation and Department of Defense and United States Air Force sponsored exercises. Location of performance are: BBNT Solutions LLC, Cambridge Mass.; BBNT Solutions LLC, Rosslyn Va.; BBNT Solutions LLC, San Diego Calif.; BBNT Solutions LLC, Columbia Md. *Arrowhead Global Solutions, Inc., McLean, VA is being awarded a firm-fixed price ID/IQ contract. The contract has a base period of two years with eight one-year options. The actual life cycle cost of the contract for the ten-year period is $30,675,168. This contract will provide transponder services for the Federal Aviation Administration’s Alaska National Airspace System Interfacility Communications System (ANICS), which provides satellite communication covering the entire State of Alaska and Seattle, WA. This was a full and open competition. Twelve offerors provided 19 proposals in response to the RFP.
