CONTRACTS

 

ARMY

 

            Team Apache Systems L.L.C., Orlando, Fla., was awarded on Nov. 11, 2003, a $252,172,580 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for modernized target acquisition designation sight/pilot’s night vision sensor for the Apache Aircraft.  Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2006.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on May 16, 2002.  The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-03-C-0164).

 

            McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co., Mesa, Ariz., was awarded on Nov. 7, 2003, a $32,928,815 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for recapitalization and reliability and safety overhaul for multiyear I, multiyear II and A-model fielded aircraft.  Work will be performed in Mesa, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2009.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 16, 2003.  The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-01-C-0092).

 

            United Defense Limited, York, Pa., was awarded on Nov. 6, 2003, a $32,921,878 increment as part of an $812,948,444 firm-fixed-price contract for M2A2 and M3A2 Operation Desert Storm vehicles and Army stockage list replacement spares.  Work will be performed in York, Pa. (83%), Aiken, S.C. (5%), San Jose, Calif. (8%), and Fayette, Pa. (4%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 27, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 29, 2001.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-M016).

 

            Bollinger/Incat USA L.L.C., Lockport, La., was awarded on Nov. 7, 2003, an $11,789,887 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for an option to extend the lease of the theater support vessel high speed catamaran and insurance coverage for one year.  Work will be performed in Lockport, La., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 15, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on Aug. 20, 2002.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-02-C-T060).

 

            Robertson Aviation, Tempe, Ariz., was awarded on Nov. 12, 2003, a delivery order amount of $11,474,852 as part of a $46,283,458 firm-fixed-price contract for the crashworthy external fuel system and related support for the UH-60 aircraft.  Work will be performed in Tempe, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2007.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on June 17, 2002.  The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-02-D-0225).

 

            Lasmer Industries Inc., Kerrville, Texas, was awarded on Nov. 5, 2003, a delivery order amount of $2,305,616 as part of a $12,166,993 firm-fixed-price contract for a seat parts kit for the High Mobility Multi-Wheeled Vehicle.  Work will be performed in Kerrville, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 5, 2008.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on July 17, 2003, and three bids were received.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-03-D-S080).

 

            Weeks Marine Inc., Covington, La., was awarded on Nov. 5, 2003, a $10,000 increment as part of a $7,444,651 firm-fixed-price contract for the Atchafalaya River Bay and Bar Channels Cutterhead dredge rental.  Work will be performed in Lafayette, La., and is expected to be completed by May 29, 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 19 bids solicited on Dec. 19, 2002, and two bids were received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans, La., is the contracting activity (W912P8-04-C-0006).

 

NAVY

 

            McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded an $18,352,382 modification to a previously awarded fixed-priced-incentive-fee contract (N00019-99-C-1226) for the procurement of additional ancillary mission equipment and associated engineering and supplier management support for the F/A-18E/F aircraft, including 140 480-gallon external fuel tanks and 80 ALE-50 protectors.  Work will be performed in Lincoln, Neb. (50%); Los Angeles, Calif. (25%); and, St. Louis, Mo. (25%) and is expected to be completed in February 2006.  Contract funds in the amount of $3,072,782 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

 

            Raytheon Technical Services Company, Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a $7,621,070 ceiling-priced order under previously awarded contract (N00383-00-G-013F) for repair of parts in support of the APG-73 radar system used on the F/A-18 aircraft.  Work will be performed at Indianapolis, Ind., and is expected to be completed by December 2004.  Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured.  Naval Inventory Control Point is the contracting activity (Order 7282).

 

AIR FORCE

 

            General Dynamics, El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $7,810,937 firm fixed price contract to provide for services and materials necessary for on-site preventive and remedial maintenance for the intelligence information processing and production equipment and enhancements.  The work will be accomplished at more than 500 sites worldwide.  At this time, $5,465,224 of the funds has been obligated.  Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued.  This work will be complete by June 2004.  The Headquarters Warner Robins Air Logistics Center is the contracting activity (F09603-97-D-0008-7023-02).
