CONTRACTS

 

ARMY

 

            AM General Corp., South Bend, Ind., was awarded on Nov. 13, 2003, a $60,161,119 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for procurement of M1113, M1025A2 and M1097A2 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles.  Work will be performed in South Bend, Ind., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on July 17, 2000.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-S001).

 

            Raytheon Co., McKinney, Texas, was awarded on Nov. 13, 2003, a $6,078,923 increment as part of a $23,033,445 firm-fixed-price contract for miscellaneous spares for the Bradley A3 vehicle.  Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas, and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on July 30, 2002.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAE20-02-G-0003).

 

NAVY

 

            General Electric Aircraft Engine, General Electric Co., Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $45,216,938 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-02-C-3021) to exercise an option for the full rate production of 97 T58 engine reliability improvement program (ERIP) module kits for Marine Corps H-46E, which will replace the gas path portion of the T58-GE-16 engine.  Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed in June 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

 

            Boeing Aerospace Operations, Midwest City, Okla., is being awarded a $15,375,000 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, time and materials, cost-reimbursement contract (N00019-01-C-0066) to replenish 16 wartime spares kits for the E-6 aircraft.  Work will be performed at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., and is expected to be completed in September 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

 

MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY

 

            Fibertek, Inc., Herndon, Virginia, is being awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide engineering and technical assistance in the areas of angle-angle range imaging ladar and electro optical/infrared sensor capability enabling technologies, prototype development, subsystems, systems analysis and experimentation support.  This effort is intended to assist in the Missile Defense Agency’s need for threat detection and targeting technologies in the Ballistic Missile Defense program.  The contract has a five-year period of performance with a contract value of $49,423,919.  The Missile Defense Agency is the contracting activity (HQ0006-04-D-0001).

 

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

 

            Lankford Sysco Food Services, Inc., Pocomoke City, Md., is being awarded $12,000,000 firm fixed price with indefinite quantity type of contract for full-line food distribution for U.S. military services and federal civilian agencies.  Performance completion date is expected to be November 14, 2004.  Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a web solicitation.  The contracting activity is Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa.  (SP0300-04-D-2993).

 

            Propper International, Inc., Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, is being awarded $10,899,000 firm fixed price with indefinite quantity type of contract for trousers for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Marine Corps.  Work will also be performed in the towns of Cabo Rojo, Adjuntas, and Lajas in Puerto Rico.  Performance completion date is expected to be July 30, 2004.  Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 35 proposals solicitation and nine responded.  The contracting activity is Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa.  (SP0100-00-D-0307).
