CONTRACTS

 

DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY

 

Military Deli & Bakery Services, Naperville, Ill., is being awarded a firm-fixed-price, performance-based service acquisition contract for in-store delicatessen and bakery operations for product resale.  The estimated award amount is $48,354,345.  Work will be performed on site at the delivery location as an operations service for delicatessen and bakery products at 38 commissary locations in the Defense Commissary Agency Western Region.  The contract is for a base year beginning Feb. 1, 2004, and ending Jan. 31, 2006.  If both option years are exercised, to include four award terms, the contract will be completed Jan. 31, 2012.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  Sixteen firms were solicited, and three offers were received.  The Defense Commissary Agency, Resale Contracting Division, Resale Services Support Branch, Fort Lee, Va., is the contracting activity (HDEC02-04-D-0001).

 

AIR FORCE

 

FlightSafety Services Corp., Centennial, Colo., is being awarded a $20,265,635 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for a fiscal year 2004 option (student throughput and fixed operations and maintenance support for the KC-135 aircrew training system.  Locations of performance are FlightSafety Services Corp., Centennial, Colo., and Grand Forks Air Force Base, Grand Forks, N.D.  No funds have been obligated.  Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F33657-91-C-0072, P00350).

 

ARMY

 

Lake Shore Inc., Iron Mountain, Mich., was awarded on Nov. 19, 2003, a delivery order amount of $11,430,913 as part of a $48,602,809 firm-fixed-price contract for a roll-on/roll-off discharge facility, three warping tugs and four causeway ferry beach end modules.  Work will be performed in Iron Mountain, Mich. (73 percent), Portsmouth, Va. (14 percent), and Ballwin, Mo. (2 percent), and is expected to be completed by April 28, 2006.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 28 bids solicited on July 28, 2000, and five bids were received.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-D-T026).

 

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

 

Uniart Corp.*, New York, N.Y., is being awarded $8,160,621 firm-fixed-price for coats for the U.S. Army.  Work will also be performed in Brooklyn, N.Y.  Performance completion date is expected to be Feb. 2, 2005.  Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 60 proposal solicitations, and 12 responded.  The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-03-C-0310).

 

NAVY

 

Science Applications International Corp., Arlington, Va., is being awarded an $8,068,463 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00019-01-C-0044) for systems engineering, production, post-production and program support services for the Tomahawk All-Up-Round Missile program and Tactical Tomahawk Missile program for the U.S. Navy and the United Kingdom.  Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md. (71 percent), Arlington, Va. (21 percent); San Diego, Calif. (7 percent); and Andover, Mass. (1 percent), and is expected to be completed in December 2004.  Contract funds in the amount of $1,862,600 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This modification combines purchases for the U.S. Navy ($7,735,463; 96 percent) and the United Kingdom ($330,000; 4 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

 

Seaward Services Inc.*, Dania Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $5,314,799 not-to-exceed modification to exercise an option to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00421-01-C-0078) for operation and maintenance support for the Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division’s Key West Detachment.  Work will be performed in Key West, Fla., and is expected to be completed in November 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
