CONTRACTS

 

NAVY

 

            Maritime Helicopter Support Co., the joint venture company formed between Lockheed Martin Systems Integration and Sikorsky Aircraft Co., Manassas, Va., is being awarded a $417,025,926 fixed-price-incentive requirements contract for performance based logistics support for 540 Navy H-60 items in support of the SH-60B, SH-60F, HH-60H, MH-60S and MH-60R.  Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn. (70%) and Owego, N.Y. (30%), and is expected to be completed in December 2008.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured.  The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-04-D-028N). 

 

            General-WPC*, (a joint venture), Poulsbo, Wash., is being awarded a $31,018,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the construction of an addition to Building 7111 and upgrades to the service pier and incidental work at Naval Submarine Base, Bangor.  Work will be performed in Silverdale, Wash., and is expected to be completed by April 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website with four offers received.  The Engineering Field Activity Northwest, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Poulsbo, Wash., is the contracting activity (N44255-03-C-1036).

 

            Burns and McDonnell Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded $24,200,000 for firm-fixed price Task Order 0006 under a multiple award construction contract (N68711-02-D-8066) for design and construction of a C-40 aircraft maintenance hanger and an air traffic control tower and taxiway at Naval Air Station North Island.  Work will be performed in Coronado, Calif., and is expected to be completed by July 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The basic contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website with 20 offers received and award made on July 12, 2002.  The total contract amount for each contractor is not to exceed $150,000,000 (base period and four option years) bringing the cumulative total for all six contracts to $900,000,000.  The multiple contractors (six in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract.  Three offers were received for this task order.  The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.

 

            Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $13,592,609 firm-fixed-priced order against a previously awarded basic ordering agreement (N00019-00-G-0280) for integrated logistics support and sustaining engineering for the E-2C aircraft owned by the governments of Egypt, Taiwan, France, Japan and Singapore.  Work will be performed in Bethpage, N.Y. (73%); Egypt (12%); Taiwan (11%); and Japan (4%), and is expected to be completed in December 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract combines the purchases for the governments of Egypt ($4,525,000; 33%); Taiwan ($3,967,355; 29%); France ($3,250,308; 24%); Japan ($1,687,153; 13%); and Singapore ($162,793; 1%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

 

            BAE SYSTEMS Information and Electronics Systems Integration Inc., Communication, Navigation, Identification and Reconnaissance, Greenlawn, N.Y., is being awarded an $8,636,265 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00019-00-C-0298) for the procurement of Lot I of the AN/APX-118(V) Digital Transponder.  Work will be performed in Greenlawn, N.Y., and is expected to be completed in December 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

 

            BAE SYSTEMS Information and Electronics Systems Integration Inc., Communication, Navigation, Identification and Reconnaissance, Greenlawn, N.Y., is being awarded a $6,144,974 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00019-01-C-0271) to exercise an option for the procurement of AN/UPX-37 Interrogator Set Mode 5 Development and associated data.  Work will be performed in Greenlawn, N.Y., and is expected to be completed in December 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

 

AIR FORCE

 

            United Technologies Corp., East Hartford, Conn., is being awarded a $163,221,726 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for 42 low-rate initial production F-119 Install Engines Field Support and Training.  At this time $86,810,863 of the funds has been obligated.  This work will be completed by January 2006.  The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-03-C-2011).

 

            Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control-Orlando, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $53,450,422 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for 3253 Wind Corrected Munitions Dispenser Tail Kits applicable to various munitions.  Less than 1% of this effort supports foreign military sales to the United Arab Emirates.  The locations of performance are Lockheed Martin, Orlando, Fla., 32819 (75%), and Lockheed Martin Assembly Services, 300 Martin Marietta Drive, Americus, Ga., 31709 (25%).  Total funds have been obligated.  This work will be completed by April 2006.  The Air Armament Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08635-03-C-0021, P00005).

 

            *WPC (Wade Perrow Construction) is a small business.  The other half of the joint venture, General (General Construction), is a large business.
