ARMY

 

            Raytheon Company, Bedford, Mass., was awarded on Dec. 30, 2003, a delivery order amount of $63,193,824 as part of an $80,532,687 firm-fixed-price contract for the continuous technology refreshment of the PATRIOT PAC2 fore bodies to GEM+ frequency generator upgrade.  Work will be performed in Bedford, Mass., and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2006.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on June 30, 1999.  The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-00-D-0004).

 

            Raytheon Company, West Andover, Mass., was awarded on Dec. 31, 2003, a $30,299,992 firm-fixed-price contract for the HAWK missile system advanced infrared tracking adjunct system (AIRTAS) kits, AIRTAS sensor/processor match sets, tooling mod kits, and AIRTAS spare parts.  Work will be performed in Tewksbury, Mass. (38.97%), Rolling Meadows, Ill. (43.77%), Goleta, Calif. (15.86%), and Burlington, Mass. (1.47%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2006.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 23, 2002.  The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-04-C-0031).

 

            BioPort Corp.*, Lansing, Mich., was awarded on Dec. 31, 2003, a delivery order amount of $29,722,975 as part of a $245,539,956 firm-fixed-price contract for anthrax vaccine doses.  Work will be performed in Lansing, Mich., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 18, 2003.  The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Fort Detrick, Md., is the contracting activity (W9113M-04-D-0002).

 

            The Austin Company, Houston, Texas, was awarded on Dec. 30, 2003, a $23,515,400 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of a corrosion control paint facility, demolition of buildings 53 and 58, and removal and disposal of asbestos and special waste.  Work will be performed at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., and is expected to be completed by June 7, 2006.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 282 bids solicited on March 3, 2003, and three bids were received.  The U.S. Army Engineer District, Savannah, Ga., is the contracting activity (DACA21-03-C-0026).

 

            Azteca Enterprises Inc., Dallas, Texas, was awarded on Dec. 30, 2003, a $22,115,100 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a mission support training facility and a training aids support center.  Work will be performed at Fort Polk, La., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 28, 2007.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 432 bids solicited on Sept. 17, 2003, and eight bids were received.  The U.S. Army Engineer District, Fort Worth, Texas, is the contracting activity (W9126G-04-C-0004).

 

            W.G. Yates and Sons Construction Co., Philadelphia, Miss., was awarded on Dec. 30, 2003, a $20,379,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a student pipeline dormitory.  Work will be performed at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, and is expected to be completed by July 15, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 270 bids solicited on Sept. 26, 2003, and four bids were solicited.  The U.S. Army Engineer District, Tulsa, Okla., is the contracting activity (W912BV-04-C-2001).

 

            Alliant Techsystems, Arden Hills, Minn., was awarded on Dec. 30, 2003, a $16,070,261 firm-fixed-price contract for 30MM M789 high explosive dual purpose cartridge.  Work will be performed in Arden Hills, Minn. (70%) and Radford, Va. (30%), and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.   This was a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 18, 2003.  The U.S. Army Field Support Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (W52P1J-04-C-0019).

 

            Bear Brothers Inc.*, Montgomery, Ala., was awarded on Dec. 30, 2003, a $12,042,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a new dormitory.  Work will be performed at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., and is expected to be completed by June 2, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 183 bids solicited on Sept. 24, 2003, and two bids were received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala., is the contracting activity (W91278-04-C-0007).

 

            Northrop Grumman Corp., Rolling Meadows, Ill., was awarded on Dec. 31, 2003, an $8,983,010 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for three additional AN/TPQ-36(v)8 radar sets kits and associated spare parts.  Work will be performed in Meadows, Ill., and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 11, 2003.  The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-02-C-H302).

 

            Speagle Construction Inc.*, Niceville, Fla., was awarded on Dec. 30, 2003, a $5,269,000 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of an administrative facility.  Work will be performed at Hurlburt Field, Fla., and is expected to be completed by June 10, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 36 bids solicited on Sept. 8, 2003, and four bids were received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala., is the contracting activity (W91278-04-C-0008).

 

            Hydrogeologic Inc.*, Herndon, Va., was awarded on Dec. 30, 2003, a delivery order amount of $716,899 as part of a $40,000,000 cost and firm-fixed-price contract for environmental remediation services.  Work will be performed in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers geographical boundaries of the Northwestern, South Atlantic (including Puerto Rico), and Southwestern Division, and is expected to be completed by September 2008.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 161 bids solicited on Jan. 28, 2003, and eight bids were received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha, Neb., is the contracting activity (W9128F-04-D-0005).

 

            URS Group Inc., Omaha, Neb., was awarded on Dec. 31, 2003, a delivery order amount of $500,570 as part of a $75,000,000 firm-fixed-price or cost reimbursable contract for environmental remediation services.  Work will be performed in Goldsboro, N.C., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2008.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 375 bids solicited on Jan. 28, 2003, and six bids were received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha, Neb., is the contracting activity (W9128F-04-D-0001).
