CONTRACTS

ARMY

Lockheed Martin Corp., Orlando, Fla., was awarded on May 5, 2004, a $53,111,721 increment as part of a $207,990,051 cost-plus-incentive-fee and fixed-price-incentive-fee contract for system development and demonstration of a Joint Common Missile. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla. (41 percent) and Troy, Ala. (59 percent), and is expected to be completed by September 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were three bids solicited on Sept. 17, 2003, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-04-C-0094).

CH2M Hill/Dragados/Soluziona (Joint Venture), Englewood, Colo., was awarded on May 3, 2004, a delivery order amount of $30,974,280 as part of a $42,870,780 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of a tactical ramp and improvements to an existing tactical ramp, construction of a refueler ramp, taxiway lighting, and navigational aid improvements. Work will be performed at the Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, and is expected to be completed by May 1, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were ten bids solicited on Feb. 9, 2004, and six bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Winchester, Va., is the contracting activity (W912ER-04-D-0002).

Honeywell International Inc., Tempe, Ariz., was awarded on May 3, 2004, a delivery order amount of $6,644,258 as part of a $23,476,838 firm-fixed-price contract for 2,561 solenoid valves. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Oct. 28, 2003, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-04-D-0109).

Science and Engineering Services Inc.*, Columbia, Md., was awarded on May 4, 2004, a $6,415,000 increment as part of a $10,508,624 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price, and fixed-price-incentive contract for a joint biological standoff detection system. Work will be performed in Columbia, Md., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Oct. 27, 2003, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity (W911SR-04-C-0020).

General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products Inc., Burlington, Vt., was awarded on May 5, 2004, a $5,785,814 firm-fixed-price contract for 110 remote control systems for the AVENGER Missile weapon system. Work will be performed in Burlington, Vt., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on March 19, 2004. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-04-C-0109).

AM General Corp., South Bend, Ind., was awarded on May 4, 2004, a $5,779,412 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for procurement of 11 M1097A2s, 10 M1025A2, three M1035A2s, five M1113s and 40 M1114 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles. Work will be performed in South Bend, Ind., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on July 17, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-S001).

Science Applications International Corp., San Diego, Calif., was awarded on May 4, 2004, a delivery order amount of $1,000,000 as part of an $8,535,002 time and materials contract for engineering and technical analysis services. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va., and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Jan. 15, 2004, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity (W91CRB-04-D-0010).

AIR FORCE

Raytheon Missile Systems, Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $9,929,000 firm fixed price contract to provide for foreign military sales PAVEWAY III laser guided bomb kits. This effort supports Foreign Military Sales to United Arab Emirates, and Poland. Locations of performance are Raytheon Co., Tucson, Ariz. and Raytheon Co., Sherman, Texas. At this time, $4,964,500 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete by September 2005. The Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (FA8213-04-C-0079).

NAVY

Compass Systems*, Lexington Park, Md., is being awarded a $9,083,567 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00421-01-C-0358) to exercise an option for engineering and technical services for presidential helicopter, Harry Buffalo (HB), and precision, targeting and identification programs. Work will be performed in Lexington Park, Md., and is expected to be completed in September 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE ADVANCED RESEARCH PROJECTS AGENCY

National Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Authority, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, is being awarded a $6,905,000 modification to a previously awarded cooperative agreement for research and development in the ocean sciences with the State of Hawaii through the National Defense Center of Excellence for Research in Ocean Sciences. Work will be performed in Kailua-Kona and elsewhere in Hawaii, and will be completed in November 2005. Funds will not expire at the end of this fiscal year. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is the contracting activity (MDA972-02-2-0002).

CORRECTION

The Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., contract for $18,167,134 awarded May 4, 2004, should have stated that the Naval Air Systems Command Training Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., was the contracting activity and that the contracting number was N61339-04-C-0058.
