Fastenal Co., Winona, Minn., is being awarded an $89,210,000 indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity with firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee and material contract. This contract is to obtain tools and consumables through various procurement methods, and accountability services. The contractor will improve tools and consumable support for the Air Force Materiel Command maintenance, repair, and overhaul installations through point of use activities and innovations by taking advantage of accurate, real-time inventory information. This service will be provided in Maintenance Organizations at Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah and Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., with options for Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., Warner-Robins Air Logistics Center, Warner-Robins Air Force Base, Ga., to participate in the contract if they desire. At this time, no funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by July 2005. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above. Solicitation was accomplished electronically in March 2004, and six firms submitted proposals. Negotiations were completed July 2004. The Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (FA8201-04-D-0022).


MSE Technology Applications*, Butte, Mont., is being awarded a $25,000,000 not-to-exceed, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for a Phase III Small Business Innovative Research Program (SBIR) for Topic No. N99-054 entitled Autonomous Launch Bar Seating Check. Contractor will provide services and materials for engineering tasks, including research and development, prototype, and testing of the Machine Vision System for the aircraft launch bar. Work will be performed in Butte, Mont., and is expected to be completed in July 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured under SBIR Topic N99-054; 16 offers were received. The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-04-D-0012).


Wolverine Worldwide, Inc., Rockford, Mich., is being awarded a $9,913,032 firm fixed price with indefinite delivery type of contract for safety shoes for the Navy. This contract is exercising its fourth-year option period. Performance completion date is expected to be in July 17, 2006. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 70 proposal solicitations and four responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. (SP0100-00-D-0328).
