Northrop Grumman Newport News Shipbuilding Corp., Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $20,933,385 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm fixed-price delivery order under previously awarded contract (N00024-04-D-4409) for the Drydocking Selected Restricted Availability of USS Oklahoma City (SSN 723). Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed by July 2005. Contract funds in the amount of $248,765 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Broadmoor, L.L.C., Metairie, La., was awarded on Oct. 2, 2004, a $7,740,000 firm-fixed-price contract for repairs to Building 3460, Naval Air Technical Training Center, at Naval Air Station Pensacola due to Hurricane Ivan. The total estimated value for the contract is between $20,000,000 and $25,000,000. Work will be performed in Pensacola, Fla., and will be performed in three phases. Phase A is for all roof and roof related work to be completed within 90 calendar days or December 2004; Phase B is for all interior and all other exterior work to begin upon turnover of facility from the Government with a completion date of 89 days. Phase C is for all remaining exterior work to be complete within 180 calendar days from date of contract award. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was issued as a one-phase solicitation to three selected contractors with the capability and manpower to start work immediately after major damage was incurred from Hurricane Ivan. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, North Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (N62467-04-C-0200).


AVENTIS Pasteur Co., Swiftwater, Pa., is being awarded a $8,324,100 firm fixed price contract for Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine, inactivated for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Marine Corps. Work will also be performed in Biken, Suira and Osaka. Performance completion date is expected to be December 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current year. There were three proposals solicited and two responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. (SP0200-05-C-0001)


Communications and Power Industries (CPI), Palto Alto, Calif., is being awarded a $7,025,875 costs-reimbursement, cost-plus fixed-price contract. The contractor shall design, build, test, and delivery a 2 to 2.5 megawatt, high efficiency, continuous wave (CW) 95 gigahertz millimeter wave source system. The contractor shall perform extensive modeling, simulation, experiments, and testing to the maximum capabilities of their facilities (which shall no less than 1 megawatt peak RF output) that will ascertain the final CW capabilities of the source. The contractor shall also provide input for the requirements for the governments test stand, which will serve as a full power facility in the future. At this time, $900,000 of the funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by January 2009. Negotiations were completed September 2004. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., is the contracting activity (FA9451-04-C-0298).


Isometrics Inc.*, Reidsville, N.C., was awarded on Oct. 6, 2004, a delivery order amount of $585,600 as part of a $5,370,940 firm-fixed-price contract for 56 Cesspit Emptier Trucks with Supporting Manuals. Work will be performed in Reidsville, N.C., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on April 28, 2004, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-04-D-B072).
