CONTRACTS

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Henry Schein Inc., Melville, N.Y., is being awarded a $24,000,000 fixed price with economic price adjustment type contract for various general dental supplies for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies. This contract has a base year with options for four additional annual periods. Performance completion date is expected to be Nov. 8, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at end of current fiscal year. There were 25 proposals solicited and eight responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. (SP0200-05-D-7423)

AIR FORCE

L3 Communications/Vertex Aerospace, Oklahoma City, Okla., is being awarded a $13,346,579 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide temporary personnel for depot level maintenance. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, although actual requirements may necessitate less than the amount above. No funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by September 2005. The Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F34601-97-D-0425/R227).

L3 Communications/Vertex Aerospace, Oklahoma City, Okla., is being awarded a $10,600,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide temporary personnel for depot level maintenance. This service will be provided at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., and Warner-Robins Air Logistics Center (WR-ALC), Warner-Robins Air Force Base, Ga. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, although actual requirements may necessitate less than the amount above. No funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by September 2005. The Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F34601-97-D-0425/R-217).

LinQuest Corp., Los Angeles, Calif., is being awarded $9,999,999 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for expert technical communications services to both Strategic and Tactical users of the Milstar satellite constellation in support of the Governments secure, global communications mission (Army, Navy, Air Force). The contractor will also support the 4 SOPs Cryptographic Re-key mission. The contractor will support training 24-hour crews in basic communications troubleshooting techniques and explain complicated communications processes necessary for system usage. The engineering service provider will perform analysis, trouble-shooting, and problem resolution on Milstar software tools supporting resource management and communications planning. This Task Order contract has an ordering period of five years. Individual task orders will have a performance period commensurate with the type of funds. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, although actual requirements may necessitate less than the amount indicated above. The location of performance is Schriever Air Force Base, Colo. No funds have been obligated. Solicitation began June 2004 and negotiations were completed October 2004. The 50th Contracting Squadron, Schriever, Air Force Base, Colo., is the contracting activity (FA2550-05-D-8000).

ARMY

Hutchinson Industries Inc., Trenton, N.J., was awarded on Nov. 4, 2004, a delivery order amount of $12,946,392 as part of a $12,946,392 firm-fixed-price contract for HUMVEE Wheel and Tire Assembly. Work will be performed in Texarkana, Texas (70 percent) and Trenton, N.J. (30 percent), and is expected to be completed by Nov. 3, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on April 22, 2004, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Texarkana, Texas, is the contracting activity (W911RQ-04-D-0007).
