NAVY

BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems, Inc., Greenlawn, N.Y., is being awarded a $14,147,997 firm fixed price contract for the AN/APX-117(V) and AN/APX-118(V), common identification friend or foe digital transponder systems and associated equipment. This will include the manufacturing, testing, modification, and delivery of the transponder systems for use on both ships and airborne weapon system platforms, as well as production engineering services, logistics support services, documentation updates, and continued support for Mode 5 development and integration. Work will be performed in Greenlawn, N.Y., and is expected to be completed in January 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-05-C-0027).

Design and Production, Lorton, Va., is being awarded a $9,979,053 firm-fixed-price contract for exhibit fabrication for the National Museum of the Marine Corps, located at Quantico, Va. Work will be performed in Lorton, Va. (70 percent) and Quantico, Va. (30 percent), and is expected to be completed by November 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commercial On-line site, with 5 offers received. The Regional Contracting Office, Northeast, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity (M00264-05-C-0002).

Electric Boat Corp., a General Dynamics Co., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $6,320,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification under previously awarded contract (N00024-96-C-2100) to exercise an option for SSN 777 on-board repair parts. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (55 percent) and Newport News, Va. (45 percent), and is expected to be completed by December 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
