CONTRACTS

ARMY

EDO Communications and Countermeasures, Westlake Village, Calif., was awarded on Jan. 13, 2005, a $56,133,186 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 720 Warlock Green and 720 Warlock Red Electronic Countermeasure Devices in a combined, single system configuration with associated Dual Band Antennas. Work will be performed in Simi Valley, Calif., and is expected to be completed by May 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Dec. 16, 2004, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15P7T-04-C-L001).

AM General L.L.C., South Bend, Ind., was awarded on Jan. 13, 2005, a $44,280,061 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 545 M1114 Chassis for the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle. Work will be performed in South Bend, Ind., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on July 17, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-S001).

GarcoConstruction Inc., Seattle, Wash., was awarded on Jan. 14, 2005, a $39,616,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of the Hydrant Fuel System and Ramp. Work will be performed at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 1, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 26 bids solicited on March 26, 2004, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, is the contracting activity (W911KB-05-C-0004).

Delfasco Inc.*, Afton, Tenn., was awarded on Jan. 14, 2005, a $10,038,515 firm-fixed-price contract for 445,760 BDU-33 25# Practice Bombs. Work will be performed in Afton, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 32 bids solicited on Sept. 29, 2004, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Field Support Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (W52P1J-05-C-0014).

Universal Technologies Inc., Estill Springs, Tenn., was awarded on Jan. 13, 2005, a delivery order amount of $8,222,000 as part of a $9,738,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 2,000 Machine Gun Mounts. Work will be performed in Estill Springs, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Nov. 24, 2004, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAE20-01-D-0053).

General Dynamics, Marion, Ill., was awarded on Jan. 14, 2005, a $6,109,897 firm-fixed-price contract for production and testing of 81mm and 120mm Mortar Cartridge Propelling Charges. Work will be performed in Marion, Ill., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were six bids solicited on Jan. 10, 2004, and six bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15QKN-05-C-1167).

FN Manufacturing Inc., Columbia, S.C., was awarded on Jan. 14, 2005, a delivery order amount of $5,339,410 as part of a $24,374,574 firm-fixed-price contract for 4,000 Machine Gun Barrels. Work will be performed in Columbia, S.C., and is expected to be completed by January 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were three bids solicited on July 27, 2004, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (W52H09-05-D-0048).

AIR FORCE

Civil Air Patrol, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., is being awarded a $16,364,000 cooperative Agreement contract modification to increase funding for FY05 Civil Air Patrol operatin and maintenance and counter-drup activities as authorized by the FY05 DoD Appropriations Act, Public Law 108-287, Section 8027 (a) and (b). Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by September 2005. The 42nd Air Base Wing, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., is the contracting activity (F41689-00-2-0001, A00021).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $14,902,637cost-plus award-fee/incentive fee contract modification to provide for the incorporation of software for a Manual Override Feature (Feature 4), a Message to Ballistic Missile Defense System Assurance Feature (Feature 2 Operator Workload Reduction), and a Command and Control, Battlespace Management and Communications Two-Way Active Interface to support Missile Defense Agency requirements for information exchange. At this time, $4,250,819 of the funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by June 2010. The Headquarters Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-95-C-0017, P00299).
