CONTRACTS

AIR FORCE

Hamilton Sundstrand Corp., Windsor Locks, Conn., was awarded on March 1, 2005 a $250,400,000 fixed price with estimated quantities, firm fixed price, and cost reimbursable contract. This acquisition is a Strategic Sourcing Initiative for the acquisition of sole source consumable and replenishment spares and services in support of secondary power systems, airborne generators, constant speed drive components, and other systems the Air Force and Defense Logistics Agency support. Weapon systems, spares and services support include, but are not limited to, A-10, B-1, B-52, C-130, C-141, C-5, E-3, F-15, F-16, KC-135, and T-38 aircraft. Estimated quantities for the contract are annual demand quantities for each of the items. Approximately 5400 items will be incorporated into the contract. Engineering and Technical services for technical data support of the items will be authorized on an as required basis and will account for less than 1% of the estimated contract value. The locations of performances are Hamilton Sundstrand, Rockford, Ill., and Hamilton Sundstrand, San Diego, Calif. No funds have been obligated. Solicitation began August 2003 and negotiations were completed February 2005. The Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (FA8208-04-D-0002).

Northrop Grumman Information Technology, McLean, Va., is being awarded a $8,009,106 cost reimbursable, cost-plus fixed-fee contract to provide for the necessary materials, including any hardware, facilities, supplies, travel, labor, and services to perform novel optically diverse applications in accordance with the contractors statement of work, Air Force Maui Optical and Supercomputing Site Technical Support, dated Dec. 20, 2004 for the Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, N.M. The location of performance is Northrop Grumman Information Technology, Albuquerque, N.M. At this time, $201,000 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete by June 2010. Solicitation began September 2004 and negotiations were completed February 2005. The Det 8 Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., is the contracting activity (FA9451-04-C-0158).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Carter Industries Inc., * Olive Hill, Ky., was awarded on March 1, 2005 a maximum amount of $52,953,000 firm fixed price indefinite quantity contract for Coveralls for the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The estimated performance completion date is Feb. 24, 2006. Contract funds will expire at the end of fiscal year 2006. This is a basic award contract with two one-year term options. The proposal was solicited through GATEWAY and seven responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. (SP0100-05-D-4114).

General Electric Transportation Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Mass.is being awarded a maximum $43,277,490.15 firm fixed price requirements type contract for commercial parts for engine lines: T64, T58, TF39, TF34, F118, F404, T700, F110 and F101. This is a modification to existing contract number SP0400-00-D-9403 to add NSNs for the U.S. Air Force. Performance completion date is July 30, 2006. The contract is sole source and currently in its second option year. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Richmond, Va.(SP0400-00-D-9403).

NAVY

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $62,397,116 fixed-price modification to execute an option under previously awarded contract N00024-04-D-4408, for execution of the fiscal year 2005 Dry-Docking Selected Restricted Availability (DSRA) of USS Connecticut (SSN 22). Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by December 2005. Contract funds in the amount of $61,149,174 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Alliant Techsystems, Anoka, Minn., was awarded on Feb. 28, 2005, a $13,246,589 firm-fixed-price contract for 750,090 Cartridges 30mm Target Practice. Work will be performed in Radford, Va., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 24, 2005. The U.S. Army Field Support Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (W52P1J-04-C-0019).

Alliant Techsystems, Plymouth, Minn., was awarded on Feb. 28, 2005, a $10,946,028 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for Prepreg Material and Penetrators. Work will be performed in Rocket Center, W.Va. (50 percent) and Jonesborough, Tenn. (50 percent), and is expected to be completed by May 24, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on June 15, 1998. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAE30-98-C-1094).

Science Applications International Corp., San Diego, Calif., was awarded on Feb. 28, 2005, a delivery order amount of $9,805,374 as part of a $14,799,246 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Sustainment and Development of the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 27, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated Jan. 6, 2005. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alexandria, Va., is the contracting activity (DACA42-03-D-0007).

Day & Zimmerman Inc., Texarkana, Texas, was awarded on Feb. 28, 2005, a delivery order amount of $5,281,472 as part of a $26,463,340 firm-fixed-price contract for 445,288 M67 Grenades. Work will be performed in Texarkana, Texas, and is expected to be completed by July 30, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated Jan. 16, 2002. The U.S. Army Field Support Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-99-G-0004).

General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, Burlington, Vt., was awarded on Feb. 28, 2005, a delivery order amount of $0 as part of an $18,019,206 firm-fixed-price contract for Chrome Machine Gun Barrels. Performance location will be determined with each delivery order, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated June 9, 2004. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (W52H09-05-D-0060).
